Q: Why does the photo have the voltage hidden and the polarity blurred out?

So that U don't know that information - if U knew the voltage/polarity, U could buy a cheaper equivalent. Do an "Amazon search" for "TC Helicon power supply" and buy a generic unit. I've purchased several of the generic TC adaptors - they work fine.

Q: what is the mA rating?

Desc says nothing about mA BUT I've never had a prob w/ it... From what I remember the thing to check is the pin polarity and this one matched old unit.
