’ve gone through several electric fence solar boxes over the years, and most of them have let me down—either the solar panel quits working or the unit just stops holding a charge. That’s why I waited almost a full year before leaving a review on this one.I’m happy to say this one has been a pleasant surprise. It’s still going strong after a year of use, and I haven’t had any issues with the solar panel or performance. It’s reliable, durable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.After so many disappointments with other brands, it’s great to finally find one I can count on. I’ll definitely be buying another one when the time comes.

I use it to keep both small ( chipmunks) and medium/large ( rabbits & woodchucks) out of the garden. Used in a raised bed garden with 4x4 wooden posts as sides for raised bed. A 2.5 inch offset on top of the wooden posts to hold he wire. Chipmunks try to get under and rabbits woodchucks try to get over all get shocked and move off. Took about twice as long to charge with charger as was stated in the literature. So far so good stays charged with the solar panel.

I'm very pleased with this small charger unit. I don't have a lot of running feet to electrify (keeping urban deer out of my home flower garden), and so far this is working great! I can even see the lights from the kitchen so I know it's working !It was so easy to attach the leads, install on a small y-post, and clip to the fence and grounding post. I'm all about solar, and I think this is a great investment that will last me for many years.

Everything came as expected. The instructions were not super inclusive but youtube and a bit of educated guessing helped in setting up the fence aspect itself - might be helpful info as an "add-on". Took 18 hours to fully charge on AC the first time (I bought two units and they were both almost identical with how long it took) - no problem but more than implied in the instructions. Super easy to connect (although I'm still scared to touch it to test it - and my wife seems even more reluctant regardless of my encouragement.)

I followed the directions in the manual and charging it with sunshine (even tho' some days were cloudy) was so easy. I hadn't even decided where to permanently mount it...just left it outside to absorb the "rays" and it was fully charged in less than the 3 days recommended. Once permanently installed and connected to the fence wire, it worked perfectly. Note, I did purchase an electric fence tester which I recommend...you don't want to grab onto the charged wire to check it!!!

Instructions could be more clear. It doesn’t explain the lights and what the different sequences are.

I bought this in Jan 2025. It worked great! Then it quit working and I tried charging it in the house. Wouldn't charge. Contacted the company via email and they asked for a copy of when I bought it and my address. They think lightening may have struck it. In days I had a brand new charger delivered! Great product and GREATER customer service!!

Works great so far around my beehive. Does give a bite!! I like that you can plug it in to fully charge it prior to setting it up. Seems well built and durable. Decent price.
