To be honest, I was a little bit of a nonbeliever in this product...but I was also desperate. I have been battling an ingrown big toe nail for over 7 years (yes seven years). I have tried many different non-surgical approaches because I didn't want my big toe nail permanently altered. I eventually came across this product from Reieset and was skeptical and doubtful, especially for how expensive it was. However, this is way cheaper than what I would have paid for a surgical fix and I thought that if it did work, my nail would actually return to its original shape.No lie, within one day, this thing relieved my pain and you could see that it actually bent the nail upward just like it promises to do. When I first received it, I was even more doubtful because I bent the spring thing (the thing that goes on your nail) between my fingers and it didn't feel all that strong. I have no idea how it was able to pull my nail upwards into its normal shape, but it did it. I am amazed, relieved, and happy as heck.It has been two weeks since I put it on and it is still staying true and my nail is continuing to grow perfectly straight and flat now. When I first applied it, it didn't stick to the part that needed it the most (the bent down part). I just applied more glue and used a pointy nail file that I have to apply pressure to that one small part that did not stick. I applied pressure for a few more minutes in that one area and the glue then stuck. I have not had to apply additional glue since that first day.Thank you for this wonderful product - I believe I have FINALLY fixed this incredibly stubborn nail. For what it's worth, I believe what caused this problem in the first place was wearing ice skates that were too tight for too long of a time. I didn't realize I had an ingrown nail problem until it was months down the line and too late at that point. For the long term looking forward, I will be very careful to not wear shoes and other footwear that are too tight. Seems like common sense now.Anyways, thanks again, I am so happy to finally fix this thing!!

After ingrown big toenail pain increased so much that even a bedsheet touching the toe was excruciating, I looked at options on Amazon that would help. Most were topical solutions to gradually reduce pain over many weeks. This item discussed the need to ELIMINATE the SOURCE of the pain - the curved shape of the nail growing into the flesh on the sides. It now made sense why digging out the ingrown tissue on the sides of the nail had actually made deep grooves for the nail to become even more curved and ingrown! The regular pedicures I had been having had actually made the problem WORSE ! From the moment I attached this tiny bar to the problem toenail it exerted upward pressure on the sides of the nail and THE PAIN IMMEDIATELY STOPPED ! It's been a little over a month since I applied them and my nails have been pain free and slowly growing out more flat. Follow directions, apply several strokes of glue, hold firmly in place for at least 3 minutes while glue dries, and you will be amazed. GREAT result! Strongly recommended.

Make sure to read the instructions and look at the diagram in the little pamphlet. It was difficult to get it lined up at first and had to try a couple of times, but its really sticking now. I found it was easier to skip the rubber strip and just directly hold the corrector onto my nail. I held it in place firmly for about 3 minutes, after that its staying on until you use the dilutant. The corrector is a piece of metal in a plastic housing that goes back into its shape after bending, so if its glued to a curved toenail, it basically pulls the nail straight and flat with it as it goes back to shape. I've only had it on for a few hours but I can already feel it starting to lift the nail up and relieve some of that pressure that I've felt in my nailbed for so long.

I am amazed to say it, but this product really works! I have a severe unilateral ingrown nail and it completely relieved my pain within 36-48 hours. The redness and swelling is gone. I'm excited to see if it really does make the toenail grow out with this adjustment. The trick is to use the largest size that will fit on your toenail. Make sure the application adheres as closely to your cuticle(s) as possible. I also used some gel super glue under the ends of the metal band to ensure a good bond. This product has been a game changer for my child. They have always struggled with ingrown toenails, causing a great deal of discomfort. These strips started working immediately, relieving some of the pressure right away. After a couple of weeks of use, the ingrown part of the nail has drastically improved. The only caution (and it is very small) is to make sure to close the glue right away. We knocked it over once and ended up with a sock glued to the wood floor in our living room. Totally our fault, of course! We highly recommend!
