Q: What size pole needed

I have it mounted on a 1 1/8 inch diameter pole, and that's about as large a pole as it will fit on. It looks like it could be clamped down to fit about a 7/8 inch diameter pole. I would say it will easily fit any pole between 7/8 and 1 1/8 inch in diameter. To use on a smaller diameter pole you might have to wrap the pole with tape or some other material.
