Adafruit 413 Push-Pull Solenoid, Large, 12VDC

Awesome. I used an old power supply from some random electronic.

I use this to close a choke on a carb. It is strong enough to close then return to open with the supplied spring of no resistance is in the linkage.The wording in the ad is misleading. It can only be powered to to pull the plunger in and spring tension to push it back out. The plunger cannot be reversed so realistically it only functions one way when powered. Cannot be reversed.

This solenoid is described in the listing as a 24 V solenoid with a 15 N starting force, so I ordered it along with a 24 V DC converter. When it arrived, it was clearly marked as a TAU 1040T 12 V solenoid. More research reveals that this solenoid only has a 6 N starting force. Now I am unable to use it with my 24 V source. Disappointed in the inaccurate description, and with being shipped a lesser solenoid.

Does what it's supposed to.
