Q: will the red solo cups work?

No, I found that all the bulk 18 oz red cups I could find, including Solo brand, and those from Costco, Sams Club, and BJs, will absolutely *not* fit. Lately these cups have a 4-inch diameter, while this dispenser fits only up to 3-7/8 inches. Red cups did fit years ago, because I was using them, but lately the cup lip design seems to have changed; they all have this larger diameter and won't fit this dispenser, as disappointing as that may be, because the dispenser itself is excellent.

No it would be too big for...I'm still have this iny garage, for it was too big for an 8zo cups

I believe there is a spring loaded knob that adjust for different size cups. There is a screw on the side to adjust.

Q: What is the maximum internal diameter? Trying to find out how wide of a cup it can hold.

We use it for the infamous 16 oz. "Red Cups". I haven't measured the internal diameter - but I think that's the biggest size it'll hold.
