I'll start by saying I never write out reviews. However, this product has me extremely happy where I had to. I read all reviews before purchase, and I read some complaints about this one which made me weary to purchase. YOU MUST MEASURE CORRECTLY! Measure to the exact eight of an inch and you'll get what you want. Do NOT short measurements or don't over measure.PROS:- Easy to install. Within two seconds it fit perfectly and locked in place. This is NOT coming down.- Blocks the sun and keeps the room dark (Purchased waterproof/100% block).- Pro Quality. Nothing about this feels or looks cheap.- Good variety of Colors. Purchased Navy blue and it looks great.CONS:- Takes some time to get shipped (oh well). I paid for quicker shipping and it still took two weeks. Absolutely worth the wait.

My order arrived safely and earlier than expected. The fit was perfect and the ecru color was a good match for my decor. I wasn’t quite sure how the customization worked but I ordered the 35” wide by 36” long from the drop down menu and then sent a letter to Schorling via Amazon buyer/seller messages specifying ecru, 35-1/4” width and 12” length and that I wanted the bead chain on the left. I received the order about two weeks after I confirmed the customization. This is for a transom window located above my regular window but I neglected to specify the ball chain length to Schorling. I had read in the product description that the ball chain length would be 31-1/2” for shade lengths <39” but Schorling had customized the ball chain length to match my shade length of 12”. Unfortunately, I cannot reach the 12” length without a step stool. I contacted Schorling and explained my problem and they sent me a replacement ball chain kit of 39” in just over a week at no charge. I could not be more happy with the product and customer service. The shade is barely noticeable in the transom but when the sun periodically shines in at an angle that blinds me; the shade easily pulls down to save me.

The window treatments that come with apartments tend to be minimal; they often don't block out enough sun or provide enough privacy. Yet as a tenant, you're not supposed to go drilling the holes required to mount a traditional shade. My previous solution was to jury-rig a rinky-dink "temporary blind" on a tension rod: a pain to trim yourself, hard to raise and lower, and designed to fall apart in a year. I always wished you could get a normal window shade on a tension rod, and finally here it is! For only a little more than I paid for my old jury-rigged blind + rod, you get the whole thing, custom sized, and it's far better quality. (Note: at my request, the seller made my shade in blackout fabric, so I cannot comment on the standard "daylight" fabric.) The pull chain moves smoothly, and so far it's working fine. The only problem I ran into was that, since the tension rod didn't seem to have much give, I ended up sliding it up along the window frame and scraped off a bit of paint from the window frame. This may be more a problem with my install technique than the product: I wasn't able to get into a good position to get good leverage. If I had, perhaps the tension bar would have been easier to push in. But, just FYI, watch out for that when you install it.The shade has only been up since yesterday, so I can't comment on durability -- but it doesn't seem like it would fall apart easily. Seller was very diligent in handling customization and delivery questions. The shade arrived promptly -- much faster than I'd expect for an odd-sized international package. Finally, a proper window shade! Much better solution than the rinky-dink temporary blinds.

I ordered these for all my downstairs windows and two for my master. I got the dark grey blackout for the bedroom and it does a decent job at keeping the light out though there is about an 1/2-1inch gap on either side that does let light in (the only reason these are not 5 stars). The blinds for my downstairs are also the dark grey but 50% daylight and they do help keep the heat out but allows some daylight in the room. I am very impressed with the customer service. I had a few blinds that didn’t fit due to my error when measuring..ensure you are within 1/16 of an inch. The company replaced the blinds and I paid a small shipping fee. I like the modern/clean look and the ease of install.

If I could give this a negative review I would. I needed 4 sets of blinds. I ordered two from this company and I ordered the other 2 from 2 completely different companies. The other 2 company's products were great, they came as sized and fit perfectly. Both of the blinds I received from this company were too big and were missing a padded part at the end of the blinds. The part missing did not really matter as the blinds won't fit in the window regardless. If this happens to you, you are completely screwed. They will not give a refund and after messaging the company they did nothing to replace them. So, I'm out a couple hundred dollars, have two sets of blinds I can't use, and am not going to have to spend more money to get blinds that fit. Just don't do it. It's not worth it.

Beautifully made fit perfect!Bought these to use on my West facing windows to keep out the heat and light during afternoon.Hung in middle of my window just under my zebra blinds and can adjust them and my zebra blinds as needed. Love them!!!!The waterproof fabric is great if you hang above a sink.

Fits perfectly. Color is shade is wanted.Installation took 2 minutes.

This shade is not fabric (poor quality vinyl) and is not the color described (I ordered ecru and what I received is actually a yellowish beige). Although I followed the measuring instructions, the shade isn’t wide enough to cover all of the window.It is easy to ‘install’, just a tension rod. The pull chain is a coated plastic which I’m sure will break in no time.Rating for ease of use
