Factory warranty is 30 Days. High mineral content of water, hard water, additives to water, and not cleaning once a month. Exposing element to air while powered on, all these things contribute to the life cycle of heating elements on Chattanooga units.

Q: If I have burned out my element and thermostat, do I have to replace thermostat as well? Do most people have to replace both?

It is best to Replaced Both in case the thermostat went bad and boiled out your water which burnt up the Heating Element, or if you are not sure what happened to burn up the Heating Element.
