Excellent book
The book has some great patterns to crochet various cacti. It has lovely illustrations and clear instructions. Most are very quick and easy to crochet and look lovely when complete and can be displayed individually or grouped together in a collection. I can't recommend this book enough and look forward to crocheting items from the "sister" book of succulents.

Dully Printed Book
I cannot judge the book on easy of instructions as have only just received today. However, it was the colours of the cacti that really attracted me, but I now realise the picture on Amazon was a lot brighter than the actual book. The paper used is a very pale grey and spoils the effect of the yarn colours. As no specific colours or colour numbers are specified, only the type of yarn, this will make purchasing stressful, unless you are experience in this type of crochet. I am a beginner. I may add to my review as I start to make some of the cacti. I hope the authoress reads this and contacts her printing company. Itβs a shame. Update - 8th Feb. Look at the 2nd picture on the left. This shows the main leaf of the cacti and what Iended up with. I am not a beginner and have made a number of pieces from 2 books by a different authoress. The leaf should be a lot thinner. As I have outlined, by Round 5 there are 48stiches to the leaf, making it round, not oblong. Straight rounds 6-17, row 18 decrease 1 chain space, but then told to make a chain (cancelling out the decrease)! 19-22 straight rows. You can see the result. 3rd photo shows the instructions, highlighting the 48stitches and the no. of rows. 4th photo is a pattern for a similar cacti, less rows, but at the most, only 22 stitches, making the leaf an oblong - and you can see the finished result. This is by the other authoress and the instructions are correct (and, may I add, easier to crochet as they follow the Amigurumi style). I may or may not keep this book if I find other patterns as awful as this one. Watch this space π΅βπ«π

Fabulous book
I love this book , excellent value for money. Good instructions , lots of pictures. Some books you might only make a couple of items from it but l have already made four cactus plants from this one. Would buy it again.
