XL for 12 year old fit fine
Bought for my 12 year old who is pretty tiny, but it fit him just fine. It's pretty light weight, thinner than a regular sweatshirt. String for hood is pretty long. He likes it, will wear it, hopefully it will hold up.

This item is horribly cheap. It is see through, absolutely awful. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money. It is so cheap and thin not sweatshirt material at all

Awesome shirt
My son loves his shirt. Has worn it several times since Christmas. It’s not like a normal fleece sweatshirt, it’s much thinner material but still good quality.
