The sound produced is great for an instrument made solely from plastic. Kids love it. The only issue is that the cleaning stick broke right away (kid used it is as a drum stick).Be aware, it is loud, it sounds like it has a build in amp. With that said, if you have friends with kids that you don't like that much, get them this as a gift. The parents will hate you for it.

My little 2 year old's fingers are too small to cover all of the wholes but she still LOVES playing the instrument. The one note over and over again drives us crazy but her enjoyment makes up for it. The color is a see through highlighter pink. She loves the color. I thought the see through was great because we can see if it's dirty inside or not but see through means you can see all of the spit in it anytime she plays it. Kinda gross to see. ^_^

I was able to purchase this for my son and get it quickly after he broke his for school. Works just as good as school one if not better.

I bought this because I needed a cleaning rod, could use a second soprano recorder, and was curious how an off-brand ABS recorder compared with an inexpensive ABS Yamaha.The head joint is too tight, in fact much "tighter" than the glue joint that is meant to permanently bond the mouthpiece to the head. I'll be sanding down the injection flash on the barrel side of the head joint, then gluing the head together with model airplane glue. Then I'll see how much I play this recorder.I gave the Yamaha to my wife, because its intonation feels more reliable and my wife is just learning.The cleaning rod works fine.

This is my first recorder! I got a late start. I'm 76 years old. I'm thoroughly pleased with it. I play along with my 22 month old grand daughter who also has a recorder!
