Q: Not wanting to sound dumb but why can I only see white with the lens attached? My son wants to star gaze and I can't see anything :(

Did you take off the covers there's a cover for eyepiece and cover at the end of the scope

Q: Can you collimate the primary mirror?

I wanted to clarify.... the Z100 there is no way of collimating the mirror! But looking at the other photographs I think the larger models can be collimated as there as screws on the mirror back.
