It's Mine! Board book – 25 July 2019

I bought this with several others for my baby grandson. The author is well known to us and the illustrations are gorgeous. Highly recommended for those early bookworms. 😊

My toddler loves this book! There are no flaps until the last page but each page has a pictorial clue to look out for as to which animal is coming up on the next page. The lion page which pops out is great and very sturdy! Ours has stood up to being pretend fed food and the book snapped shut on little fingers to 'bite' them many times.

Although it does not have flaps on every page, this is a really excellent book for 2-3 year olds. My grandson (aged 21/2) tends to want to skip straight to the back page, but there is lots to look at on the other pages, and I am sure it will hold his attention more as he gets older.

My 2 year old wasn't too impressed as there is only one pop up at the end. I also don't like to scare her with animals as u want her to not br afraid of anything like spiders or snakes etc. So this wasn't ideal.

I disagree with other comments there is nothing wrong with a pop up being right at the end, it give children something to look forward to it is a build up to the end of the story. My little granddaughter loves it it is lovely and strong and not easily torn.

It was my son's favourite book from the ages of about 9 months to 2 years old. Then he became scared of the lion and he refuses to read it now. He's 2.75 yo.

Great book, lots of animals for my wee boy to point out & a pop-up surprise at the end. Dear Zoo may be the most popular of Rod Campbell's books but I think this one is better!

Purchased as a Secret Santa gift for works kids event. Everything looks fine packaging wise. Not sure about items as I don't have children myself but for other staff members kids so am sure that they will have a better idea once opened.
