Q: Can anyone tell me what all the different bits can be used for

They're all different sized diamond tips, the round circles are sanding discs. I didn't get those with mine, i only got the fine diamond tips. You may need to double check whats in the box as the pics may be for information only. It's a nice little tool though. It started me off and i've now taught two children with it.

Q: Are replacement bits available and do they need to be from the same manufacturer or are they generic? My gratitude for your answers.

They are generic. You can pick up a 30pc set for about £7 on amazon. The engraver I received came with 5 bits. Ideal for the odd job, but if you are thinking of using it long term i.e model making, you might want to go a bit more sturdy. You pay for what you get.

Q: What size shank does the engraving bits have? (I wish to order an extra set of engraving bits, but the seller has not informed what size they are).

The finer engraving heads are 3 cm long. the shanks are 2cm long. The larger engraving bits are 4cm long, the heads about 1 cm, and the shanks 3 cm.
