HIDEit Mounts Wii U Wall Mount Bracket

We got ours as a Amazon Wharehouse Deal which was a good deal. The only downside of it was it was missing the hardware (screws). For an almost 10 dollar savings we were happy enough to use our own self tapping screws.** We don’t actually know what kind they send - BUT - we have a houseful of boys - So - self tapping screws gives us just that extra little piece of mind. If they do not send you the self tapping screws - you might want to upgrade. Especially if this is for kids, or wired controllers.IF you don’t know how to choose the right size screws - do not be embarrassed to take the bracket up to the hardware store and ask the guy who does it for a living, and then buy extra. That’s how you eventually end up with a toolbox full of hardware you can use around the house without going to the store every time. 😁**Back to the bracket - it does have on one end of the bottom a stop that will keep the Wii U from sliding out if you mount it on an angle, or up and down.*We are not we installed the longer side across with the shorter ends running up & down.** The bracket is not so tight that it cuts into our aftermarket wrap we have on the console, nor is it so loose that is slides out super easily either.Like Goldilocks said - “This one is just right!” Hehehe!!*It looks nice, does it’s job, and has a good paint job on it (I think that too is important for ascetics).*What we’re doing with the bracket* We are building a 2nd gaming area located under a loft bed, and it’s coming out pretty nice too! Unfortunately when a bunch of boys throw pillows & blankets down there, & get all excited playing/camp out down there for the night we were worried that the Wii U would get kicked off of it’s little stand due to wrestling, or sleeping kicking kids, so the console got this bracket.The game pad got a shelf with a guard on front (like nursery shelves so stuff doesn’t fall into a crib), and we are waiting on hangers for the game pro controllers.If for nothing else (it all looks visually clean which is awesomeness!) then to let us relax without worrying every 5 minutes that some kid is going to punt the game while not paying attention- It is definitely worth the money (even full price!)*We like the look, and functionality of this bracket so much we will be ordering one for the Xbox that is on a desk in the bigger part of the room!**We will be ordering from this company again & we WILL be recommending this bracket to our family, & friends! Purchased this to mount behind my wall mounted TV. Looks GREAT! I'd love to post a picture of my set up, but I don't see the option to load photos when you do a review. Anyways, I mounted it right below the metal tv mount, and slightly to the right so that I can access the WiiU from the right of the TV. Installation took maybe 5 minutes (making sure it was level, marking the drill holes, drilling holes, and then screwing the mount to the wall. Since the WiiU is lightweight and I didn't anticipate attaching anything else to the mount, I didn't bother trying to find studs. I used zipties to hide the rest of the WiiU cords from hanging low, and used 3M/Command velcro to attach the sensor bar to the bottom of my tv. So far, it's been the best set up. I couldn't image it any better. Price is steep but worth it over the long haul; beats having all of your gaming mess out for everyone to see :)

It's pretty great. Well-built, mounts easily. Only thing it needs is somewhere to mount the power brick for the Wii U. In my case, I ended up creating a zip-tie loop around the power brick and one of the parts of this mount.

Great product. It was exactly what I expected and needed to hide the WII U behind our TV. Because of the rock wall behind our TV I wasn't able to mount this directly to the wall, but I was able to purchase some hooks from amazon ( Vokul® Gun Rack Shotgun Hooks Rifle Hangers Archery Bow Felt Lined Wall Mount Storage  that allowed me to mount it to the back of our TV as you can see in the attached photos. I would definitely​ buy this product again if the need arises.

Great idea, but when the set top box was placed in the bracket it covered access to the coax cable. Also, over priced.

Trying to clean up my game room I wanted to mount/hide things on the wall behind the TV. Easy to install (I had to keep the TV mounted) and is perfect so no little hands can put something in the disc tray. Thank you so much!

Way better than the HumanCentric one. HumanCentric’s mount scratched my Wii U because it’s a very tight fit. This one fits good and it isn’t overly tight. The Wii U slides in from the back and I don’t like that there isn’t a screw on the back to keep it from sliding out when unplugging cables so I have to hold the Wii U. I see this also being an issue if the mount isn’t leveled and is slanted back slightly. With enough vibration it’d slide out.
