Sawyer Products SP2129 Micro Squeeze

Fantastic filter, terribly easy to use. With incredible value for the money, will be actively using for many more hiking adventures (and misadventures). I pushed this thing to its limit to make water for a group of 6, works fantastic never had any issues either!

I am not an outdoor enthusiast by any means. But I do believe in being prepared. I was putting together an emergency evacuation Go Bag and wanted a water filter that was reliable and easy to understand how to use. I watched a number of youtube videos and saw that the Sawyer was recommended over and over. Even I can understand how to use it. So I got one for my bag and one for my husband's bag. I practiced with the product and it really is easy. Impressed with how tiny it is, too.

This has been our favorite filter yet. Our friends used ours the whole trip because it works much more smoothly. Squeeze the blue bag to create the force, and it comes quickly through the filter (good flow).. Glad we replaced our other with this one.

I originally bought this for long hikes that I take on a camping trip each year. I've used it on those hikes and it's wonderful and lightweight easy to use. Honestly though I use it more often when I'm mountain biking on local trails. It means I don't have to carry as much water with me because I'm able to filter water as I go and this is much lighter than carrying water

The sawyer filter works amazingly well. I used it while hiking 40 miles through the backcountry of Glacier National Park over 6 days. The flow was good. I'm glad I brought along the backflush syringe because it clogged up twice during the trip.My only issue was the limp pouches.1) if drawing water from a shallow body of water, they would collapse from water pressure, which meant I could only fill a pouch a little, then squeezed the water into another pouch to fill. This required me to fill and squeeze several times to fill each drinking pouch. im glad i carried 3 with me; two to drink out of, and one just as the filter.2) the pouches are limp and fell out of my backpack water holder a couple of times. fortunately, the pouches did not burst.All in all a great product. the micro definitely has better flow than the mini. the pouches are the weakest point and i will definitely invest in a couple of sturdier containers.

Had a Sawyer Mini. It is now at the bottom of a gorge :(. Upgraded to this as a replacement.Love that it is easy to use. Nice flow. Easy to back flush/clean.Cons are that it can leak if not perfectly tightened on with properly seated o-ring.Make sure to not let it freeze and it will last forever!!!

I had read that the included squeeze bags aren't that great and can break easily, so I swapped it out for a Dunkive 2L squeeze bag instead. The flow feels pretty good. With this combo, I can realistically filter about 70oz in about 2 minutes. The filter and bag together weigh only about 5 or 6oz and packs down tiny. Filters faster and is a much lighter, smaller package than the Grayl and MSR filters I've used. Will have to see how it performs in the field, but I'm happy so far.
