The best couplings I have ever used, period.
These are the best couplings I have ever used on air hoses. They offer an air tight connection, zero leaks, literally zero. They also offer 1 handed operation when connecting/disconnecting tools. They are aluminum and don't hold up as well when being dropped on concrete shop floors, BUT, even so, they do hold up well, they just get scratched/dented up a bit, but still work great (although ugly). You get more power at your tools due to the high flow, I mean noticable power. Your impact can remove bolts/nuts that it couldn't before. More air delivery means all your pneumatic tools are more powerful. Try these, you will not be disappointed, but remember, you need to use only these fittings from from your air compressor to your air tools, if you have and regular couplers in between, you will not get the higher flow. ( a chain is only as strong as its weakest link)

Milton S-314VKIT Kit, 14pc Hi-Flo V style

"Not recommended for use with high-vibration tools"
That's the disclaimer Milton provides on their website. It continues: "We recommend using these couplers with a leader hose to extend their lifespan." The coupler shell is made of steel; however, the purple portion and the fittings themselves are aluminum. I can see how vibration at the interface could lead to wear of the softer metal over time resulting in leaky connections. I fitted my impact wrench with a short whip hose and haven't had any issues.

They do the job as advertized
Worked exactly as advertized. Definately suped up my impacts, no doubt. They run faster and hit harder for sure. The known drawback is that obviously they go through air quicker so compressor will turn on more. But its just physics. Worth the tradeoff. Guns dont feel anemic now. Took off a star for durability. The couplers are steel, the plugs are soft aluminum just like everyone said in other reviews. Couplers seem very durable. Plugs are extremely light weight. They do get knicked up and dented and the paint comes off a bit. But if you take care of your tools and dont drop them around or use them that often they are just fine. If you are a bit rough with them or drop them around because you work in professional shop every day, i would recommend the steel plugs which i have as well. But these are great more cost efficient product for your average DIYer who needs a bunch of these fittings for cheap cost and in-frequent use. Sharp looking too. The colors help too if you have multiple hoses.

Aluminum, but they seal nicely!
Gotta admit, for the weakest material you could have made these out of, they seal up quite nicely. No more leaks on my compressor system any longer. ALTHOUGH... we shall see how long this (it's not even type 3 hard coat anodizing) aluminum holds up before wearing and starting to leak.

Switched for life
These are absolutely the best, will never buy another air fitting in my life, the size difference compared to a typical fitting is insane. Totally worth the price and have changed all my hoses over to these. Worked really great for sandblasting as well pushing much more air.

Garbage
You can NOT use these with impact tools. The fact they show impact tools with this product should be a crime. My attached image is only FIVE MINUTES with an impact tool. The fitting was leaking after that five minutes and this is what I found. Ridiculous! Returned in a heartbeat and bought all Prevost high flow steel fittings. Wow, what a difference! Plus I love that I can just push a button and get zero blow back. Steel is the only way to go. If you use nothing but air guns and tire chucks and what not, then sure, these will be fine. But if you use anything considered a "mechanical tool" do NOT use these.

Definite improved airflow and performance.
I'm not a professional mechanic who turns a wrench for a living and my air compressor is a 21 gallon, 2.5 HP, 125 psi Central Pneumatic from Harbor Freight that I've had for the past 3 years. I mainly use my air tools for routine maintenance on my cars and yard equipment and my son and his friends use them for their cars. With the exception of a Matco MT1712 1/2 impact gun, all of my other air tools, air fittings and air hoses are Central Pneumatic from Harbor Freight. With that being said, I was never really impressed with the performance of my air tools, however, since I bought them from HF, I wasn't really expecting much. Recently, I needed a new air hose and also decided to change out my hose fittings. I Googled which would be the best hoses and fittings and consistently saw Milton V-Style fittings in my searches. As you can see in the picture, the fitting on the top is a steel Central Pneumatic air fitting from Harbor Freight, in the middle is a Milton V-Style steel fitting from Milton S-217, and the bottom is a fitting from this reviewed package. After checking prices I decided on this package because it included the couplers and fittings. I had read the reviews regarding durability since these were made from anodized aluminum and wasn't too concerned because I don't really abuse the hoses or fittings. After installing them with Teflon thread tape I had a chance to use an air chisel and air hammer for a project. I could tell right away that the performance was much better. The air chisel was bouncing around a lot and the coupler and fittings were getting a good workout. There was no noticeable damage or defect at all in the fit or finish. Upon using my impact gun I was able to see a definite improvement in performance when trying to remove rusted bolts. These couplers and fittings definitely improved performance. I grease the internals of my impact gun regularly and also use an in-line lubricator but was never really satisfied with it until now. I had actually considered upgrading my impact gun to get better performance. The only "down" side to these fittings is that you'll use a lot more air and your compressor will kick on more often. As I've said before, I also bought the steel version of these fittings (Milton S-217) and they work just as well. If you're worried about the durability of the anodized aluminum then that would be your best alternative although they are not purple. The couplers are backwards compatible with other fittings but you won't get the increased airflow that you get when you have all V-Style fittings and couplers. The V-style fittings WILL NOT mate up to non V-Style couplers. I also use Marvel Mystery Oil to oil all of my air tools and Royal Purple Synthetic compressor oil in my air compressor.
