Not as pretty as the blue color but heats better!
Let me start off by saying I wasn’t expecting much for this cover since we had purchased a blue cover at a yard sale however my wife insisted. I was wrong. When we got the cover it was lighter than expected however much stronger than the previous cover. We read somewhere the clear cover allowed more sun through to heat the water so we decided on clear. The cover was easy to roll out and so easy to cut to our oddly shaped pool size, a pair of good scissors worked fine. Very rugged material that would not tear but easy to cut. Once we got the cover in place the temperature during the day was in the mid 90’s and sunny and dropped to the upper 50’s at night. In two days the pool temp stayed in the upper 80’s and didn’t fall like it normally would to the mid to low 60’s to match close to the night temperatures. We got at least another month out of enjoying the pool. Hope it helps to reduce evaporation also. We had a lot of rain, for Arizona, 5 inches within a week and I was worried the cover might sink however it shed the water over to the edges and back into the pool without a problem. Was not affected by wind either. Two bad thins, the pool service requires us to remove the cover befor they will service the pool so we remove it on the day they come and put it back later. The other thing is one of our dogs tried to walk on it and it held long enough for us to get him. The dog had never went near the pool before so please be careful. Excellent product and would recommend it highly.

I love to swim with my kids now!!!!
I am a cold person. I am the type of person that will go into the hot tub on a 100 degree day. I HATE going in a cold pool! When we bought our house I didn't realize that the pool that we fell in love with did not come with a heater. We had contemplated putting a heater in, which would have cost a fortune, but decided to just bear the cold pool because after the cost of putting in a heater we'd still be paying a fortune to actually run it. We kicked around the idea of a solar cover, but the only experience I had with a solar cover was a friends pool when I was a child. I just remember that her pool was always freezing so I assumed they just didn't work very well. Now we have been in this house for 3 years now and with a 3 and 5 year old we use the pool A LOT!! I started hating my decision to buy a house with a pool because it was always so cold and while my kids didn't seem to mind, using the pool was a dreaded part of my day. Finally I decided it was worth trying the solar cover. WOW, I cannot believe how well it works!! We put it on when the temp was at 75 and the weather was upper 60s-low 70s an very cloudy. It raised to 80 within a couple days. Then we hit a heat wave and after 1 day of it being at 100 degrees our pool is now staying at 90-95 degrees! WE CAN ACTUALLY GO NIGHT SWIMMING!!! No more inching our way in and having to "get used to it". I've never had a solar cover before so I cannot offer a comparison, and we've only had it for 2 weeks so I don't know how long it will last. For your own comparison - our pool is average size but fairly deep (11 feet) and not much of a shallow end. The 95 degrees temp was taken close to the bottom of the shallow end and I feel the water temp is evenly dispersed. Our pool is usually in full sun until about 3 in the afternoon so I can't attest for the effectiveness if your pool is more shaded. Obviously the one downfall of a solar cover is how difficult it is to take off and put back on. We cut it in half, but I think I'll even cut it more. It takes about 5 minutes to put it back on by myself, so it's not too bad. We got a pool box to store it in so it doesn't look awful bunched up on the side of the pool when we have guests over. I plan on putting colorful stickers or some kind of arrows to make it easier to figure out which side goes where. Overall I'm glad we went with this option over a pool heater. It looks ugly, but we take it off when we have company and I would prefer to have an ugly pool that we can use than a pretty pool that I dread going in.

Heats up our pool nicely.
We live in Hawaii but do not have a pool heater. I like to keep our pool about 86 and sometimes, in the winter months, we need the pool cover. We have had quite a few of these covers but this last one we can see some of the "bubble" data floating around in the pool after less than one month. I hope this cover does not deteriorate quickly. It does heat our pool up nicely, though. I'll update my review as the months go on.

Tons of plastic dots in pool
When I first got this, I had high hopes that it would keep my Florida pool warm enough to swim in during the cooler months. It fit in pool ok. I bought a roller because it was cumbersome to try to fold. My mistake was buying it after the pool water already was cooler. I quickly figured it’s better used to keep heat in or in conjunction with a pool heater to conserve energy. It did raise the pool temperature but only by a few degrees. I decided it would be better to start using it before it got cold. Fast forward to this fall. Determined to keep the pool warm I put it on the pool a few days. I took it off to swim in and I didn’t notice any water temperature difference but I did see what looked like bubbles on the water. On closer inspection it was the plastic from the bubbles in the liner, already deteriorated and falling off. Took me forever to get them all out of the pool. Won’t be using this microplastic nightmare anymore. I won’t have deteriorated plastic all in the pool and waste time cleaning it every time. Also it probably works less than it already did. Didn’t even last a full year.

GOOD QUALITY, CLEAR, EASY TO FIT TO POOL
We ordered the clear so we could see what was going on in the water below. It was easy to cut it to size; I layed it on across the peanut-shaped pool, marked the edges of the pool with a blue non-toxic felt-tip marker, then cut with scissors. Had to trim up a few places that were not laying flat on the water, but it was very easy to shape it to the pool. Our only problem was that when removing it, it gets dirty water on top and is very heavy. So this spring we decided to cut it in half to make it easier to handle. It works well and husband and I can each take a side and walk it to the end. You get some leaves falling through where we cut it but they are easy to scoop out. It does a good job of warming the pool but we have trees so lots of leaves landed on top and made a mess during the fall. Our pool man said it would not help in the winter and would not let the skimmer do it's job of sucking in the leaves, so we removed it to make it easier to clean the pool. When spring arrived we put it back on and it brought our pool up to 85 degrees in a few days of warm 90 degree weather. The air temps cooled back down to normal but the pool remained fairly warm, around 78 degrees but too cold to swim for me. We are happy with it and it seems quite heavy duty compared to the blue covers we saw at the pool stores for quite a bit more money. To store it, we fold it in 2 halves and place in the center of a large brown tarp, cover it with the tarp and weight it down to keep it out of the sun. We expect it will last a few seasons in the AZ heat if we keep it covered , but you never know.

Great short term heater / anti-evaporation
Great at first. Raised our pool temp about 10 degrees F average. Used two years on the pool and took great care of it on a solar reel and stashed away for winter dried and covered. At the start of the 3rd pool season the air pockets came apart. You can see in the pics how they just almost rotted off. If youre looking for a short term solution this prob works great. I have reached out to customer service to see if this is normal. Will update when i hear back.

Does wonders when the weather is warm.
Economical way to heat your pool. The summers hit the high 90s frequently where I live, and the covers alone, without any assistance from my pool heater, will keep the pool temp in the high 80s and into the low 90s if the weather hits 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. It's a great tool for anyone who enjoys swimming in "bath water" without getting that initial chill when getting into the pool.

Creates a toasty pool, but pool blankets are a fragile product, expect to replace
I bought my product in August of 2018. It lasted until April of 2022, 3 1/2 years (it started tearing lengthwise. But the bubbles never shed.) I am pretty happy with it as it made the pool about 10-15 degrees warmer, so I could swim longer. Nice and toasty. People complain that this product doesn't last. You have to be okay that this is a non-permanent product that requires replacing. (Think of it like tires on car). But it does work wonderfully until the sun breaks it down. Tip: To make it last longer, keep it out of the sun when it is not in use. (I don't use mine in the winter.) Get a pool reel as the 14 mil thick covers are HEAVY, especially if it is just one person handling it. Thinner coves are easier to handle, but don't last as long. I don't recommend less than 10 mil or the bubbles will flake off quickly.
