Honda odyssey can now tow!
Installed easily, arrived well. I think you need a toque wrench and a 5 drops of thread locker. Only had to remove an exhaust hanger on myodyssey.

Great Hitch Kit for Honda Odyssey
Install was simple. Hitch is very sturdy. Complete bolt on job, super straight forward. Only complaint is the hitch's paint flaked off as I was installing it, about a 2" by 1" piece so I question the paint quality. Not worth uninstalling and returning, I will probably just rattlecan it and call it a day but was disappointed in this experience. Additionally, I wanted the instructions to have torque specifications. Otherwise, I can say I am happy with this hitch kit.

EXACTLY what it says it is, but vehicles vary
The product is amazing. Quality is high. Fitment is great. Price is perfect. The issue is an almost 300k vehicle has rust in the mounting holes and needed some pb blaster/WD40 and an impact gun to get the screws in, but it worked perfectly after i prepped my vehicle.

Not happy. 30 min. install took six hours because of poor quality / defect
Re: Draw Tite 75270 hitch for 2006 Honda Odyssey. I've installed a few trailer hitches in my life. This is the only one I have ever had a problem with. First, this arrived with no packaging. They had shipped it with just a label zip tied onto the unit. It arrived with lots of dings and scrapes in the paint. There was a plastic bag with the hardware that had been taped to the receiver itself that had busted open during shipping and of course, some of the hardware had fallen out and was missing. The biggest problem though came when I went to install the unit. There was no instructions. Also, you have to remove or lower the vehicle exhaust to get the .hitch into position. Once I did all this and put the unit up under the frame to be bolted in, I could see that only 5 of the six holes in the hitch lined up with the holes in the frame of the vehicle. One of the holes was an inch off and would not line up. I purchased the vehicle new, and it has never been wrecked so I know the vehicle frame was correct. It appeared the hitch had been welded up with one of the sides welded at the wrong angle and not parallel to the opposite side. My tape measure confirmed my suspicions. There was also a hanger that was welded onto the vehicle that hangs down to support the exhaust. The hitch had a cut out in it to go around the exhaust hanger, but the cut out was in the wrong place. Sending it back was not an option as I was leaving to go out of town and had to get this on the vehicle to pull a trailer. My only option was to get out the grinder and grind away part of the hitch to go around the exhaust hanger. Once I did this I got 5 of the bolts / washers installed, but the 6th bolt was not even close to lining up. After using a hydraulic press to bend the hitch, I finally got it close enough where I could open up the hole on the hitch with a bigger drill bit and get the bolt started. After installing the unit, I was very disappointed in how low the hitch hung down from the vehicle. It sits about two inches below the rear bumper and does not have a factory installed look. Because it sits so low, I had to buy a six inch drop for the ball and flip it over upside down to get enough rise to pull the little utility trailer even close to level. The sides of the main tube are open and not covered / finished as they should be. Do not buy this hitch. Spend another $20 and buy the Curt hitch as it is a superior product. Draw-tite used to be a great name in trailer hitches. Never again will I buy one.

Excellent deal. Very well constructed. Happily surprised.
I had some difficulty getting the 6th (ie last) bolt threaded through the pre-drilled hole in the product. It was not noticeable even when staring at the alignment from beneath my 2010 Honda Odyssey, but it was jutsenough to prevent the bolt from threading easily. Of course, some other trailer hitches only have 4 points of attachment, and someone 'could' excuse the difficulty I had, but the whole idea was to easily use all 6 points of attachment. Perhaps the powder coating added the millimeter? I did not file anything down or re-drill the hole, but I did have to find the PERFECT alignment angle and STILL had difficulty tightening that 6th bolt. I gave the full 5 stars because its an extremely well made product and saved me a bundle on options to transport 5 bikes. Although the installation took 45 minutes rather than 30, it was manageable with some elbow grease. Notes: (a) I did use a 1/2 inch tube brush with WD40 to clean out the attachment points, without which I would never have been able to thread any of the bolts; (b) I did not need to drop or otherwise move the muffler.

Easy install on 2006 Odyssey
I was able to install by myself without dropping the tailpipe in less than an hour. Just six bolts, but doing it with out a helper costs some time to prop it up on some bricks while installing. Also spent some time trying to lower the tailpipe before realizing I could work around it. Fits perfectly and so far so good. Only think I don't like is how low it is. Scrapes driveway sometimes and is more visible than I would like. Kinda sticks out when viewing the vehicle from the rear.

Easier to install, didn't realized I'd be lifting weights!
I watched a couple youtube videos on installing this hitch on a Honda Odyssey (mines a 2010). One said to unhook the exhaust at the two hanger positions. The other video unhooked only one position, and then stated that it may not have even been needed. So being the lazy guy I am, thought I'd tried installing it without unhooking the exhaust. I did use a floor jack to act as a third arm and that helped. I started by sliding the right side of the hitch in place sliding between the exhaust and bottom of the vehicle. Slid in just fine, then I just let it rest on the exhaust pipe (probably not the smartest thing, but I'm lazy). From there I got one bolt in on the left side, and then started working the right side. The only thing about not removing the exhaust was that it kind of got in the way, but I was able to work around it. This is because the pipe shifts a little because it is hanging on giant rubber loops. So I just kinda pushed the pipe to the side to get my wrench in there. Was able to get all bolts lightly tightened and then got out my torque wrench. It was at this point I didn't realize I was going to be doing a full workout. Torquing six bolts to 68 ft lbs each felt like lift weights, allot of them, again and again. It was good and not to sore today. Also of note, I did order a 12mm - 1.25 tap as suggested by others. For the most part not necessary for me, even though the van is 10 years old. I do think it became useful for one of the wholes as the bolt would not catch the threads. I used the tap lightly, only making a few turns, then tried the bolt again and was able to get it. Lastly, as a few others have mentioned, the upper most right hitch bolt hole did not line up perfectly. However there is a little bit of flex with the hitch and I was able to by hand flex the hitch wider by about 1/2 centimeter, which was enough to get that bolt in. Overall was quite pleased as how easy this was to install. Planning on using this hitch to attached a bike mount for 6 bikes. Getting the family out of the house!

The hitch is fine ... but read on for IMPORTANT info!
Okay, this is a tough review!!! I actually think the HITCH itself is just fine and dandy! However, here i my FULL experience, and some things for y’all looking for a hitch to take into consideration. *I was initially sent the wrong hitch. It came packed in a box the size of a 100-gal hot water heater (TOTALLY SERIOUS HERE) ... an so the box was almost powder by the time it arrived ... hilarious (and stupid) packaging! It took over an hour of cussing and grumble in and working my keister off to finally realize it was the WRONG hitch!!! (And it was bent, and had been returned previously). UGG!! *It took me over an hour to figure out how to PROPERLY pack this POS up to return it. *The replacement arrived, it was ALSO shipped in what remained of a box big enough to accommodate six of these hitches ... and as a result it was slightly bent ... which meant ... *It took me a whole day to get it straightened out enough to get it bolted on my van. UGG! So there. Now it’s on and doing fine. But seriously, the seller has got to do something about shipping WRONG hitches, and needs to totally re-think their packaging. As for the hitch itself. I bet it’s just as good as any other brand, and looks fine once installed. If ya order one, just be sure to add a little note BEGGING the seller to pack properly and ensure they sent the correct hitch, as this ended up wasting the better part of an entire WEEK for me. body want’s that.
