In this book, the author gives us the information about how to start knitting- supplies and resources, basic knits and techniques- including simple practice projects, beginner knitting projects- start to finish, combination beginner knit projects, intermediate knitting preparation and project. I found this book very informative and useful. It is described in the simple language and easy to understand. I got so much important and helpful information on all my questions. I liked this guide and would recommend it for those who are fond of knitting. It is worth reading.

The instructions are not as descriptive as they could be. Also, more illustrations are needed to go with the instructions.

I have taught my students to knit. I wish I would have had this book to share with them. The beginning of this book is down to earth, witty, and spot on with advice.The various techniques needed to learn are simply explained, Well illustrated, and easily understandable. The only complaint I had would be The missing instructions for the first scarf. I highly recommend this book for beginning knitters.

I got this as a birthday present for my 10 year old granddaughter who just learned to knit. She was thrilled to learn that she could knit her own cats!! the instructions were easy and she had no trouble getting started.

Awful. Unclear and incomplete instructions. Bad editing; there are syntax problems and outright errors. The search continues for a book I can actually understand and progress with

Started a craft class. This book is easy to understand and has many photographs to go with the instructions. I can crochet but not so with knitting and it has helped me a lot. Would recommend

I can knit but it has been a long time so I needed a handy reference to jog my memory for some stitches. This was helpful.

This is a really poor book and I’m disappointed. It’s quite uninspiring - everything inside is in black and white and the instructions are so confusing. It’s like it’s been printed really badly, so it’s consuming which written instructions are for which picture! I’m returning this.
