This machine is VERY well built and performs superbly in my small home office environment. The documentation is easy to follow and the whole machine is really well packaged.Installation was a breeze and presented no problems at all.Operation is very straightforward and requires no specialist knowledge or experience.The print quality is excellent and I was surprised at how Black the Blacks were in the printed paged. Colours are vivid and do not exhibit the "high gloss" effect seen on some makes of printers/toners. This makes the printer perfectly capable of printing colour photos in all but professional photographer's quality.The scanning results are of good quality and quick! This machine allows for double-sided scanning via the auto document feeder. This is done by having optical sensors in both the top and bottom of the document feeder and is a real "boon" for scanner users.For example, A 2-page (4 sided) A4 document, with text and coloured graphics, set to scan all 4 sides at 300dpi resolution and produce a multi-page pdf file, takes about 7 seconds to complete and produces a file of 1,047 KB (1.04MB) in size and the same document scanned at 600dpi takes 31 seconds and produces a file of 6,121 KB (6.12MB) in size., with excellent quality in both cases. The resulting file from a scan may be saved on a USB device, via the on-board USB socket, or sent directly to a computer.Overall, you will be hard pressed to beat this machine for quality AND value.footnote : I have not used the FAX functions as I don't know anyone who still uses a FAX machine!

This is a bit bigger and heavier than your average laser printer but it'll last you and the toner will last too.The print quality is really quite good and it performs pretty well indeed. The WiFi option as well as LAN is why I bought itYou don't get the nice warm feeling of laser printer papers but because it uses LEDs it's really efficient. I'd absolutely recommend this. If I didn't get this I think I'd get an Epsom ecotank though you are the mercy of ink drying up there

Fast to install and good quality printouts. However, I have small problems downloading and installing the software on my laptop.

The printer was very easy to set up on a local Wi-Fi and works very well. Printing quality is excellent and the ability to print double sided automatically is great, as is the ability to auto scan double sided pages. The scanner isn't the fastest we have used, but is more than adequate for what we need. It is good value and I can thoroughly recommend this printer.

Very happy with this printer. It is an upgrade from a 12 year old Dell Laser. It's connected to our Wi-Fi network so all the family can print from whatever device they are on. The android app works, so I can print from my phone from anywhere in the house. It's very quiet and the print quality is sharp. It arrived from the vendor 3 days early, well packaged. Excellent value for money

This is a handy printer, but not the fastest printer.Completely let down by the fact of built in life expectancy of printer. 18 months after buying and very light use it is broken and needs replacement. Out of warranty. Doesn’t recognise toner inserted error. Called Brother help line to be told ‘out of warranty’ it needs fixing, take to engineer that costs £100 to just look at it, then cost of parts.First time changing magenta toner, print less than 20 colour pages. Printer still looks mint!Dumbstruck Dissatisfied Disappointed

I bought this printer to update an old brother I really loved, the Printer is good also if very big (not an issue anyway), what I don't like (ands it's not really clear) it's if it can scan and send by email without any PC...I supposed to have it setup correctly but I found that if I disconnect the PC id does require it!!!

Value for money not the fastest print speed but good quality if you use the write paper. Easy to install but recommend buying a USB cable just in case WIFI goes down. Strong signal and clear display. This company I would buy from again.
