So far this is the best low cost S Mount I have found.
Finally got this out of the box and used it on a softbox that came with its own bracket. This is without a doubt the best Bowens S mount bracket I have, and I have some brackets in my collection. Here is what I like:1. Allows me to insert my flash into the modifier instead of trying to line it up with the opening. If you ever tried to line a speedlight on a trigger with the hole in a softbox you know what I mean. Connect a bare bulb to a stripbox with this bracket and it's magical!2. Real S mount, attaching a big softbox to this is simple and the click lets you know it is locked in. No more having your softbox come off in your hand when you rotate it.3. Everything that comes in contact with your speedlight is padded. Not a big deal with many of my speedlights since they have been around for a while. I have 4 newer SB-910's that I would like to keep looking nice for as long as I can.4. The speedlight can be mounted with the head in the same direction as the modifier dimension, the head will go vertical in a stripbox instead of horizontal. Sounds minor but helps give even coverage in a rectangular modifier.5. Handle for tilt has a release button to rotate it out of the way. I have brackets that cost twice what I paid for this one where the handle is stuck wherever it is tight, even if it prevents the softbox from rotating. Here is what I don't like:1. Its all plastic. I know for 20 bucks it will be plastic, at least it seems to be very strong and well finished without rough edges or flash. Everything on it fits and works, nothing on it looks like it will cut me.2. The tilt adjustment is very coarse, I don't have a problem with adjusting it but I have mounted it on a light stand swivel when I didn't want to fuss with it. Use it with a shoot through umbrella and you will never notice, use a snoot with a tight grid and you will.Overall I really like this, some thought went into the design and it shows in the results.

good value
Solid S type bracket for the price, got it on sale and I think it's still worth it at full price. Very high-quality build and very sturdy when on a light stand. I would definitely get this over any other more expensive S type brackets.

Great value!
I purchased this bracket to use with my Godox 2' rectangle soft box. It has worked very well with my still life photography. Given its price, I can't say its of a highly durable build but its certainly good and definitely worth the price. It securely holds my speed light. I also have a Profoto two speed light bracket and that is outrageously expensive but its built like a tank. But its design makes it very difficult to see the controls on the speed light and simply turn it on and off. The Godox provides easy access to the speed light buttons. I also like the simple way the bracket holds the speed light but I need to be cautious not to over tighten it and possibly damage my speed light. One thing that could happen but hasn't yet is that the soft box could pop off this bracket. It's not overly secure. But as I've used it during my still life sessions, it hasn't given me any issues yet when I adjust my light stand. Overall, this is a great little value and I'd recommend it.

Great mount for SPEEDlites
Great product for attaching modifiers to SPEEDlites. I cant stress this enough because misinformed reviewers are using this for strobe lights like the godox ad200 or ad600 and giving bad reviews that arent warranted. For reference, I bought this for a Nikon SB80DX speedlite which weighs in at just over 3/4lb(13.5oz) with batteries. A strobe light like the godox ones mentioned can exceed 5 lbs without modifiers attached. While the shape of the ad200 fits this mount and in theory is a cheap alternative, it is not worth risking a damaged light. Lesson-if you're going to invest in a strobe over a speedlight, don't be cheap and buy the appropriate mount for it. That being said, this works well and as I intended for my speedlight and allows me to get nicely diffused light in a portable setup if I attach a softbox. I will be using it with a godox 47.2" octobox.

Sturdy and effective
I was skeptical of this style of mount and it's ability to hold a large modifier. However It easily supports a 5 foot octabank or a 4x5ft rectangular Chimera bank. No Slipping, the material is extremely stout ABS type plastic not cheap crap. The mating surfaces for the tilt adjustment have some friction enhancement of the surfaces to prevent slipping. This means you will have to loosen the knob just a bit more than you would for just a straight compression type surface in oder to make adjustments but in the end it is rock solid. I prefer to mount min on an extension arm on a c-stand anyway and therefore rarely have to adjust the tilt of the actual head. But go ahead, it will hold.
