Seagate 1TB harddrive
Bought this to replace internal harddrive on PS4. Easy to fit. I now use it for PS4 game storage on PS5 via a bridge case. Don't discard those old internal HDs, turn them into an external with ease.

Good size but can ramp the fan up!
I had a corrupt hard drive on my ps4 and needed to replace the drive. This one is actually slowed down when being used on a PS4 as it is restricted by the usb 2.0 bus in the console (not the drives fault). In a pro you would see an improvement with the solid state cache more!Size is great from adding games or storing video without the need to delete one game to make way for another. The only thing that does happen is when at full speed the fan gets pulled to maximum in the system and this can be a little loud.I have noticed a small improvement in load times, however if your just increasing capacity it’s probably best and a little cheaper to go to a standard drive andkeep the SSD or hybrids for the pro.Still a nice drive and I would recommend.

Good for PS4
I bought a FireCuda as I had to replace the stock HDD on my PS4 which corrupted. After just over a month of use, I'm really pleased with it. It was easy to install, only took me about 5 minutes. I wasn't expecting much difference from the stock HDD to be honest other than my PS4 would actually work properly and maybe some games would load faster, so the FireCuda has surprised me in the performance boost it has given to my PS4.Loading up my PS4 feels much faster than it did before. The game I've played most extensively since installing the FireCuda is Jedi Fallen Order. Before, it performed quite sluggishly at times on my PS4 - occasionally freezing for a few seconds, cut-scenes would sometimes jar, and the audio would often go out of sync. That doesn't happen anymore and the game feels much smoother and enjoyable for it.So would definitely recommend this for PS4 based on my experience after a few weeks of use.

Seagate FireCuda 2TB Model: ST2000DX002-2DV164
I did a Crystal Disk Mark, results in picture.Tested on a SATA II max 300Mbps. (MSI P45 Neo3 FR-3 Ver 1)This is to upgrade a 1 TB version, which has decreased windows 7 load times from boot up.Overall the SSHD has made slight improvement over standard hard disk, do not expect to notice any difference for 5-10 system start ups / reboots. I thought at first this is a pile of rubbish when I first booted up SSHD and thought it was slower than old hard disk.Bonus for me which I did not realise at purchase, when I registered with Seagate, the Warranty is until July 2024.This was written with first 24 hours of receiving drive. Will update when I have used Seagate Disc Wizard to transfer from old to new.I have updated with 2nd picture showing the drive with data on (97.51), the drive is approx' third full.Tested on MSI P45 mainboard with 8 GB memory. This is SATA II (3 Gbit/s, 300 MB/s). Test software used CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64.

Great for PS4 storage upgrade
I was finally starting to run out of space on my 500GB PS4, so I took the leap and upgraded to this drive instead.I don't know if it's any faster to load games compared to the standard drive (I didn't do any stopwatch tests but it's definitely possible) but certainly no slower. Now my console has tons of space and I don't need to deal with deleting games and then having to reinstall or re-download them if I want to go back to an older one.HDD upgrade on the PS4 is not very difficult and I believe is officially supported by Sony. It's pretty easy to open the console up just far enough to replace the hard drive but not have all of the internals exposed to risk. There are plenty of guides online, including on the official Playstation website, about how to do it (including copying your save-game data to a USB stick so you don't lose it).

Holy sh!t
So I installed an M.2 drive in my computer. And then I went about putting the desire software on it, thinking it might makes things faster. If I had to make a comparison to explain the difference this thing made to my computer I'd have say that it was like climbing off a 125cc volume controlled motorcycle and going straight to a 1000cc race replica that's track ready.Everything is much faster, everything. My download and install times are way down. Like way... way down. Loading the maps for online games takes seconds, not minutes and for the first time I can see my full internet speed being utilised when downloading a game from my online library. This was a worthwhile investment.

Rubbish
It was all fine till about 4 months down the line it started to freeze and started to slow down and not load stuff probably or pick up good picture quality in games on my PS4 slim, so I restarted my PS4 and then it said checking system storage and then failed at 20% and said I had reinstall Sony system software, so I did once I got through a few steps it said checking System storage and failed again so I gather the hard drive broke witch means I would have to buy another and install everything again like I did when I first brought the hard drive. Other than that it was all fine and loaded my games really fast compared to standard, I am now moving to pc so I have not bothered getting another

Replacement drive for PS4 Slim
Bought this to replace the 500GB HDD in my PS4 Slim as it had been reviewed as one of the best options if you didn’t want to fork out for a full SSD.Overall I am very pleased with the new drive. It was really easy to install and once I had reloaded the PS4 software it actually boots around 10 seconds quicker. The only downside I have and it’s why I’ve not given it 5 stars is that it is not completely quiet as the original PS4 drive was. I don’t know if that’s just my drive or if they are all like this but you can hear when the drive is working. It’s not that loud but it is noticeable.Overall I’d definitely recommend this drive if you don’t want to spend hundreds on an equivalent sized SSD.
