Aluminium strong built budget priced tripod
The tripod is very strong in the legs, and center, the only weaker pieces on it are the knobs for tightening, and the crank for raising and lowering the center portion.I think that crank part may be the first thing if any that would break, especially because it's made out of a plastic. My only other gripe is more about my camera than the tripod, while using the Sony Alpha 57, while mounted I can not turn the screen because of how low the screen is attached to the camera. It hits the tripod. So I have to un-mount the camera in order to flip the screen around first. Not a big issue, and nothing against the tripod- more so the camera. I know that the A77 does not have the same problem because the screen does pull up and out instead of just turning. For the low price, this is an excellent tripod. The main drawbacks of this tripod are the lack of an anchor for a bag, somewhat jerky panning, a less precise leveler (it is a circle with a dot in the middle), and the many plastic parts.I use my tripod with my Canon PowerShot Pro Series S5 IS 8.0MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and it always feels sturdy. Even without a bag, this tripod should be able to handle most cameras, and the rubber feet on the bottom have excellent grip. The legs are metal, but most of the parts of plastic. Despite the shipping weight listed this tripod weighs under 3 lb. The current listed weight is 2.6 lb and when I weighed it I got 2.8 lb. I find it pretty light and easy to take with me, and the plastic is of good quality and very sturdy. The panning isn't super smooth, but unless you need really smooth panning for high quality videos, you probably won't notice any problems. The dot-style leveler also isn't perfect, but it should be fine for eyeballing to make sure that you are not tilting badly. The quick-release head is very handy, and is a feature not always found on cheaper tripods. All in all, for the low price, this is a great tripod and I would purchase it again.

Good, sturdy, holds cam and telephoto lens
Good, sturdy, holds cam and telephoto lens at literally any angle. Almost 90 degree downwards and around 75 upwards. good for astro photography.I use it with Sony A6000 and 55-210 telephoto.A wee bit heavy but feels sturdy, and quality is top.The packaging was good too, but miss a good carry bag.

Product was very good but I had expected a tripod bag along with the tripod. The same is available with offline retailers. Hope the vendor consider the request.

This is good for personal use and short videos
This is my first tripod. This is not a professional tripod. This is good for personal use and short videos. Material is of good quality.Cons: Screw of head unit is a bit loose. But can be managed. A little bit on the pricey side.Overall, am happy with this tripod.

Decent tripod for the price
Evaluated this tripod for my Canon 500D with 55-250 lens. My review is in comparison with Vanguard CX203AGH - which I purchased along with Sony to help in evaluation. I plan to use tripod occasionally for photos and recording events at home. What I didn't like:On the tripod, build quality was just ok - not bad at the price point. After setting up the camera indoors, realized that it takes up quite a lot of space in comparison to Vanguard unit (roughly 25% more of floor space). In addition to space, found it to be unstable with 55-250 lens mounted - despite having a large footprint. With kids running around, slightest push would easily topple it over.Coming to the head, I wanted to evaluate ease of setup and ease of operation. On ease of setup, I would give it 1 star - too many rough plastic knobs requiring lot of twists and turns to set it up. My finger were a little sore by the time I was done. Quick mount plate was most disappointing part - it is not able to hold the camera weight (with 55-250 lens) in portrait mode. After mounting, it would slide couple of inches before settling into a final position. You will also need a flathead screwdriver or a coin to attach the mounting plate to camera - cannot screw it on with fingers. On the center column extending capability, I am concerned the lever used to raise/lower the column will break very easily - looked and felt too flimsy. On ease of operation, due to instability of the tripod, even a slight touch with my own leg would cause it to shake a little - negating the smooth pan and tilt operations. What I liked:Tripod setup was quick and without any issues. Legs would expand easily after unlocking the sections. Locking mechanism felt solid. Post setup, pan and tilt were smooth to operate. Material used for legs was of decent quality - I was originally concerned about low quality given the price point. Overall, tripod is compact, lightweight and easy to carry around. Please note that this unit does not come with a bag - you need to buy one separately. If you are willing to live with the things I didn't like, it is not a bad investment for the price. I have returned it and decided to keep the Vanguard unit (will post separate review for that).

This is an excellent value for money tripod
This is an excellent value for money tripod. By no means professional standard but for occasional use/hobbyist this is sturdy, with a handy spirit bubble for levelling the tripod, and a quick release plate for attaching to camera. It is a compact lightweight tripod that comes up to a good height when fully extended. I have found the tripod to give surprisingly good panning motion for such a budget model. I use mine with a full HD Sony PJ 810 Sony handy cam and find it ideal. It also locks off very easily and holds its position well for static shots. One downfall is that it does NOT come with a carry case, but I still consider this an excellent product for use with lightweight camcorders, or DSLR, although I don't know how it would fair with a very large heavy lens on a DSLR, but if you've got that kind of set up and lens you would probably be spending more on your tripod!

Prodotto incredibile.
Straconsigliato.
