I’m seriously impressed with this Bissell vacuum! I have a dog that sheds a lot, and no other vacuum I’ve tried has handled the hair like this one does. It sucked up so much dog hair that I didn’t even realize was buried deep in the carpet — it was honestly kind of gross, but also super satisfying.The suction power is incredible, and my carpets look and feel so much cleaner after just one use. It’s easy to maneuver, not too heavy, and the canister is simple to empty. You can literally see all the dirt and hair it picks up. If you have pets and carpet, this vacuum is a total game-changer.Highly recommend for pet owners — worth every penny!. The only thing that would make it even better would be if the handheld attachment had a longer hose.

Don't hesitate to buy this if you want a vacuum that actually picks up dirt and pet hair. The price was very fair, plus it's quick and easy to empty the receptacle. It's lightweight, yet feels sturdy, which is always a concern these days, plus the maneuverability is wonderful.I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use it, due to my severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. I thought it might cause pain, but it doesn't. And the best part is it's performance, which is far superior to my previous vaccuum, a much more expensive, self-propelled Hoover Windtunnel.Both the price and performance kicks butt. I can't tell you how long it will last since I just got it, but so far it's turned out to be the best vacuum I've ever owned! Buy it--you'll love it =)**It's now the middle of July and I still love it, but I discovered a new feature I wanted to share. I've attached 2 photos of a little hook they included that allows you to vacuum without worrying about running over the cord. It seems like a small thing, but I love not having to hold the cord during use. Kudos to this designer.

I have 4 other vacuums at my house, and while they work decently, I don’t love any of them. This vacuum, however, is amazing! The suction (which was my big issue previously) is wonderful. It’s lightweight, easy to put together, and works like a dream. It picked up things my other vacuums couldn’t even dream of. Thank you!

UPDATE: After fiddling with the floor heightening dial, it seems to be working better and picking up more stuff on the carpet and rugs. For carpet, I put it on level 5, for rugs I put it on 3 and that has helped. I've added another star since some of the problem may have been a user error. Original review: I had an older Bissell vacuum that I loved that recently died. I decided to replace it with this Bissell Clear view since it got such high reviews. The new Bissell is just ok for me. I don't think it works as well as my original one and I hate that it doesn't have the option to turn off the brush like the last one (this is a HUGE annoyance for me). It just doesn't seem to have the same level of suction like the old one. The hose is not very long and you have to lay the vacuum down so that the brush doesn't dig into the carpet when you are using that. The hose does have really good suction as does the pet upholstery attachment, and I also love having the swivel option as it helps to get around things. The canister is pretty easy to empty; I am finding things getting stuck on the filter in the canister, however, and maybe that's why there are suction issues?? This one seems to be more cheaply made and while I appreciate that it's lighter weight, it just doesn't seem to have the same quality as the old one (I don't know that it's going to last the 10+ years like my other one did). I'm going to keep it since I don't want to have to hassle with returning this, and it's in my price range, but I don't think I would really recommend if you are looking for something more heavy duty as this is more for light cleaning.

I have owned several high end vacuums over the years and this Bissell is by far the best . The suction is truly amazing. It is light weight. The swivel ability is smooth Very well built. I really like the attachments. They are actually useful. I have hardwood floors and this does not scatter. No expensive bags! Super easy to empty. I am actually looking forward to vacuuming. The other positive reviews are correct. Price is great.

This has become my favorite vacuum I've owned. My dog sheds so I have a lot of dog hair on my rugs. This vacuum's power head is wider than my last vacuum and sucks up VERY well! It gets more hair up in 1 sweep than any other vacuum I've owned. The small powerhead attachment is amazing!! The dog hair sticks to my dining room chairs and is hard to remove from that fabric. This little powerhead attachment got the hair off in 2 sweeps! OMG I was completely amazed! Bissell's pet hair vacuums may be the only vacuums I ever use again!

This is the best vacuum! It’s the only vacuum I’ve purchased that sucks up all different kinds of kitty litter rather than spewing it away. It might blow clumps of cat hair, but then the clumps circle back to get sucked into the vacuum. This vacuum even sucked in a full-size pine needle! It is an efficient tool that’s easy to maneuver and just the right weight to feel sturdy without making the chore of vacuuming a strenuous exercise. I highly recommend this vacuum…we have 22 indoor rescue cats, four dogs ;including a Border Collie), and four birds, so I’ve been on the quest for the perfect vacuum to make my life easier.

Strong suction and is easy to use. It’s lightweight, easy to empty, and works great on both carpet and hard floors. Good vacuum for the price. No issues, thus far.*Note: I would give five stars but, the build feels flimsy with a lot of plastic. We’ll see how long it lasts.
