Love all Philips LED lights. They are bright and last a really long time. Quality/ price are great for this 4 pack!

I got these bulbs since I previously enjoyed bulbs with the Philips Warm Dim feature, and was interested to hear that the color quality has been improved. For those who are very sensitive to light quality, it's the "soft white" color that's been improved in these bulbs, not the "warm" color. At the bright, soft white end of the dimming range, the color rendering is definitely better than older models. At the dim, warm end of the dimming range, the color is the same orangey shade you're used to with older "warm glow" bulbs. When compared to incandescent or halogen, both ends of the spectrum are still lacking in lovely but low-efficiency red light; however, the soft white output does have more red than it used to, and better color rendering overall. I also want to note that for the first few hours of use, these bulbs would occasionally "wink" at me - they'd flicker, once, briefly, every couple of minutes or so. I was worried I'd have to send them back, but they stopped doing it after the first few hours and now work 100% fine with no flickering.

Not much to say about a light bulb. It does its intended job. However, it was the price that won me over. My local hardware store’s price is a whopping $8.99 each for these bulbs, that’s double what I paid here on Amazon.

I replaced 50W halogens with these Philips Ultra Definition LEDs. Even with just 2 hours of use per day in California (at $0.25/kWh), they pay for themselves in ~7 months; pure savings after that. They consume only 4.5W, while many alternatives on Amazon use 7+ watts. That extra energy use adds up over time, so make sure you're not "saving" on a "budget" bulb that ends up costing more to run. If you run your lights 8 hours/day, using bulbs that consume 2.5W less will save you about $1.83 per bulb per year, or $7.32/year for a 4-bulb setup. I was able to justify the premium for these because they’re more efficient; if the alternatives produce more lumens, in my case, it was not missed. On top of that, they're silent, flicker-free, and dim smoothly (and 95 CRI).
