B'laster 16-SET Advanced Small Engine Tune-Up - 11-Ounces

Love the fast delivery and and getting what I ordered this works amazingly well helps me to do my job easy thanks again for a great product I can't find it no where else.

I used this product more aggressively than other people as a pre-soak loosening agent, because my lawn mower was misfiring noticeably. I started by following the instructions: sprayed 1-second bursts through the carburetor with engine running, warmed-up, for about one minute, with lots of smoke. Then I shut off the engine, removed the spark plug, and flooded the compression chamber with more B'laster; cranked the engine with pull cord a couple of revolutions with spark plug removed to distribute liquid all over the valve stems, then added a few more ounces to the chamber so the piston head was covered in B'laster. I put the spark plug back in lightly and tilted the mower back as much as possible, so the cylinder was nearly vertical.I allowed engine to soak for over an hour, not just 15 minutes as the instructions say. I kept the engine as warm as possible by leaving it in the garage. I rolled the mower back-and-forth hard a few times every 15 minutes, to shake the fluid inside the cylinder. When I removed the spark plug again, I used a strong flashlight to look through the spark plug hole and saw a heavy layer of carbon on the piston head.I sprayed lots Gumout Carburetor Cleaner Jet Spray through the hole, using the extension straw, pointing at different angles to reach as much of the piston as possible. I could immediately see carbon washing off the piston head, revealing large areas of bare metal! I then covered the spark plug hole with paper towels and spun the engine with the pull cord. Filthy fluid came out, together with lots of carbon particles. I sprayed another couple ounces of fresh carburetor cleaner inside the cylinder and continued to soak.I repeated this process of carburetor spray & expelling from the cylinder about six times. The carbon flakes just kept flying out of the cylinder! For the last stubborn spots, I moved the piston to the highest, top-dead-center position, filled with carb cleaner and stirred the surface of the piston with the tip of the plastic spray straw (hold onto it tightly so you don't drop the straw into the cylinder!). I forced the straw in all the way to the cylinder walls, in all directions, to agitate the fluid and reach the edges of the entire piston.Results: after about 30 minutes of this process, all of the carbon was gone! When I looked with my flashlight through the spark plug hole, all I saw was shinny metal! When I started the engine, the misfire had disappeared. Amazing! To really clean the valve stems and exhaust, I sprayed carb cleaner through the carburetor with the engine running, at 1-second durations, for about two minutes total.Warnings: Don't soak with carb cleaner for hours (might pit the metal surfaces). Start the engine immediately when finished (if left to dry, the cylinder and piston rings might rust). Also, I highly recommend changing the crankcase oil after warming the engine, since the oil gets a bit contaminated by the cleaners.Final notes: carburetor cleaner is usually an equal mix of acetone, xylene (or toluene), and propanol (or butanol). This mixture has been known as a powerful anti-carbon agent since the 1930s. Not all carb cleaners have this mixture, but I know for sure the Gumout brand does  Gumout 800002231 Carb and Choke Cleaner Jet Spray - 14 oz. . It will even de-carbon with the engine running, because it produces strong vapors when burned, thereby further cleaning the intake valve stems, valve seats, combustion chamber and exhaust manifold.**Update** I did the same procedure on another lawn mower using Marvel Mystery Oil instead of B'laster and found the Mystery Oil vastly superior. On a warm engine, the MMO cleaned all the carbon in 10 minutes (instead of an hour with the B'laster). It required much less carburetor cleaner and agitation to remove all the carbon.

I have a small generator that I let sit for several years with the gas spigot ON. This product helped me get it running again.

I have a 14 year old John Deere JX-75 walk behind mower. It has a Kawasaki engine. Normally runs well unless I screw it up. I once had to have the dealer rebuild the carburetor when I left gas in it all winter, and that cost $150. I recently was dumb and added an automotive gasoline additive and the mower would barely run. I knew it would cost me around $200 this time around and didn't want to sink that much in an old mower. As a last resort I bought this product. The first couple of times it didn't seem to work. I drained all the gas, put fresh gas in, and tried this one more time. Now it runs great.UPDATE: Summer 2013 I found that my Troy-Bilt 2 cycle trimmer/edger/blower was losing power and would stall once it warmed up. Found the owners manual, followed all the trouble shooting recommendations: cleaned the air filter, checked the spark plug, put in a new fresh oil/gas mix (even though I knew mine was already fresh), cleaned the spark arrestor, etc. -- nothing worked. The trouble shooting guide's final suggestion was to take it to an authorized dealer. I knew that would cost more than the unit was worth (a new one sells for around $125. So...I decided to use my Blaster Tune up. I found the air intake, and after a few times got it to start and like magic the unit blew out all the white smoke and then gained power and is now like new. This is literally the best product I have found in a long time. It has saved me hundreds of dollars. Don't waste your time trying to get it at a big box store -- I checked and nobody carries it. Just get it on Amazon.

I have an old VERY WELL maintained Husqvarna riding mower 20+ years young!It has a Kawasaki engine. You have to hear the sound of this engine! I use this spray during the year and before I put away the mower for the winter months! I love this stuff!

Been using Blaster for over 10 years now. It cleans out the entire system and allows for easy starts on all my small engines. Nobody makes a better start, cleaner . I use it once a year to keep my engines going and it has helped keep my Kohler 25 hp mower engine going for 10 years and the mower had issue before I started using Blaster. That engine has never been rebuilt and is 16 years old and still going strong. Blaster helps keep it going. OH and nope I don't have any ties to Blaster.

My sister left her snow blower with fuel (most likely a low quality) in the tank since last winter. I was doing a yearly oil change and installing a new plug to get things ready for snow but it wouldn't start. Emptied the tank and the carburetor, place new fuel with a stabilizer (stabil 360) and nothing. I took out the plug, sprayed the blaster (10 seconds), gave it a couple of pulls with the plug in but not connected. Went shopping and about an hour later connected the spark plug and it started! it idled pretty rough for about a minute then purred. Told a friend about it who was having the same problem with his blower an his started as well. With todays gas always use a stabilizer but if you forget to this stuff works.
