Excellent Fit and Option
Excellent fit. Installation is very straight forward. It would have been quicker with a second set of hands, so keep that in mind. It is the same flap that came with my pet door originally so quality, material and performance is exactly as expected. Nice to have the option to just replace the flap... very cost effective!

great replacement flap
This is a well made replacement flap for our PetSafe dog door. It IS the manufacturers replacement. We had taught our dogs to ring a bell hanging on the door knob when they wanted to go out. But with 3 of them and them wanting to go out just to look around it was getting a bit tiresome - then we came across this - WOWThis dog door insert for our sliding glass patio door is a life changer! We actually have not attached the entire insert to the frame of the door, but choose to lift it in and out at night so that unwanted critters don't invite themselves in. But there is also a sweet cover that slides in place to keep the slap secured too. Whether you attach it our not having this little flap that your animals can use themselves and regulate their own yard time with is awesome. Now, for the replacement flap installation. It SHOULD have been a snap right? I took the door and laid it down, removed the screws and the plastic that holds the flap in place from the opposite side, then proceeded to reinstall both. Well, you got the part about the screws being on one side and the plastic that holds them in place being on the other right? It was quite the acrobatic feat to hold the new flap in place, put in a screw AND have it actually insert and screw down tightly into the plastic holder on the opposite side. Ok so my door was laying down - BUT - if it were screwed into the wall /door frame then I would still need to be on both sides of the door at the same time. and if your door is mounted on the left side and you are right handed it means you are holding the plastic in place with your right hand and trying to insert and screw things into tiny holes with the left hand. It is logistically awkward, so my recommendation is that you have someone help you by either holding the guard in place while you use the screwdriver or visa versa. You also have to make sure you have the right amount of slack so that the magnet catches properly at the bottom of the door and there is no sag in the sides. All in all it is a great product and a really well made replacement flap. 5 stars all around.Pros:fits perfectly - it is made for the dooreasy to attach with the screws and plate at the top of the flap - swings in and our effortlessly.very heavy rubber-like product - but at the same time lightweight enough for small dogs or cats to push through easily.visually nearly see througheasy for pets to usemagnetic edge at the bottom and bristle-like brushes on the sides keep it closed and secure when not being used by the fur friends.Long lasting!cons:not really any cons to mention here - it is a replacement because eventually the flap does wear out and not seal quite as well. BUT- we have had our for 4 1/2 years and have 3 dogs constantly going in and out the door.

Fit perfect
Saved money by replacing the flap and the aggravation of a full doggie door replacement. Same good quality as first purchase. Things just wear out over the years and my 3 dogs barreled through that flap like missiles. All the rest of doggie door is in real good shape only needed new flap which was easy to install.

Quality but
Good quality and fit like original flap. However when I tightened the screws they eventually worked through the plastic and it came loose. I fixed that by going to the hardware store and getting SMALL washers. It works like a charm. Note the plastic at the edges was harder and did not need washers. Definitely would order again.

OEM
We have tried some lesser priced knockoffs and we come back to the original. Fits better and doesn't dry out as fast, worth the pennies.

Good replacement flap but measure carefully
We needed to replace the flap on a very old petsafe door. I ordered one based on # of screws and it was waaaay too small. This one was a tad long but we cut with a knife and it works fine. Good quality

Helps to have a 2nd person during installation
After 3 yrs of two dogs going in & out of our PetSafe doggy door, the flap started to tear from the top right corner. The replacement was a bit pricey ($25), but if you look in the righthand column of the listing, Amazon sells the identical one in guaranteed "like new" condition for $9 less, so I ordered that one. It looks brand new and came with original PetSafe instructions & paperwork. I unscrewed the four screws across the top of the old flap, then screwed in the new one. I had to get my wife to help position the flap from the other side of the door so it would line up correctly, and to apply some pressure to the bracket that supports the flap while I installed the screws. Took a few tries to get the flap to line up right, but we eventually got it done. Whole project took about 15 mins.

Exact replacement.
Mine broke when it hit -45°F and one of the dogs ran through it. Seems to happen every 3 or 4 years during a cold snap. Any longer than that and they start to warp anyway. Perfect replacement, installed and adjusted in 15 min and works like it should.
