Fits small jaws, too!
I have a small jaw. One reviewer said it didn’t work for their small jaw, so I was hesitant to buy it. I tried it anyway, because my dentist recommended it to me. I’m so glad I did! The first time I tried to mold it, it didn’t fit right. So I tried it again, and it fit perfectly. I’ve been using it for about a week and a half now. It sits comfortably in my mouth, and I have no problems falling asleep. I bought it to prevent clenching of my teeth. Mild TMJ on one side with low pain in mid ear. Since I started using this, I no longer have any pain in my ear. I would recommend this. I bought another one for my husband, because he grinds his teeth. Hopefully, it will work just as well for him.

Doesn't fit small/petite mouth
I am a very petite lady with small bone structure and small mouth/teeth/bite. My dentist recommended this brand so I purchased from Amazon at the sale price. 1) It was very hard to get this soft enough to squish on to my teeth/bite. I had to keep re-heating the bowl of water (mug is too hard to fit the item). 2) When it finally was near boiling water, I followed instructions (twice). Slid the guard into my mouth to create the teeth shaping. My front teeth weren't near the front plastic as they describe while my back teeth were in the goopy stuff and the hard plastic was pushing against my jaw muscles. I let it set and then pulled out. I thought the hard plastic would come away but it does not. The "tray" isn't really a tray like other brands. the rubber guard doesn't come out or off of the harder plastic section. So, when I put it back in to fit to the teeth, the back plastic was almost gagging me and the front teeth plastic was poking out of my lips. You know what they say about 1 size fits all... it's all bologna! A big man might find this a good guard to use, but for the smaller woman, you should look elsewhere. 1) there is no product refund guarantee. The guarantee on the box says that it will always fit...no offer for refund if it doesn't work. Only phone number to have someone help you try and try again. I can't get my $ back now... waste from my wallet. I've purchased another brand that hopefully will work for me and if not, they have a refund guarantee.

has potential to work well...
I bought this night guard because I have been having some very bad pain in my jaw area. I have severe TMJ, and recently it has escalated into inflamation in my joints. The dentist was going to make me a night guard for $300 but said that a store bought one would do just as well until I can save the money to get surgery (since lovely insurance doesnt cover hardly any of it.) The instructions were pretty clear, although I didnt get a good tight fit the first time so I had to dunk it again in the hot water and start over. Once I got a good tight fit I started wearing it right away. Its of course not the most comfortable thing in the world but its not terrible. When I have it in, I tend to salivate more though and sometimes it feels like I am drowning. I did notice my jaw getting better when I used it, but the stupid thing fell out (or I yanked it out in the middle of the night)every night. I would go to sleep with it in, and when I woke up it was gone. So I stopped using it, after about a month and a half. My jaw has started to get worse so I may try and use it again soon. Overall I liked the product, and what it did for my jaw but the inconvenience of the way it felt and it coming out every night was too much for me. I will keep it so that when my jaw flare's again I can try it out for a little bit, but it wont be something I use all the time.

Good starter trial
Like many here, my dentist recommended I try this before committing the money to a professional bite guard for sleeping. I am mixed on this thing: I have a small mouth but it does fit me (unlike some of the people here) but it also does change my jaw set. It's not really small so it forces my lower jaw to just forward just a bit in order to keep my lips together. Otherwise, I am sleeping with my mouth open all night. I don't love this. I also find that when I put it on each night, my teeth have relaxed just a little so it's uncomfortable. This is my first time trying a guard so I don't know if they're supposed to make you drool like crazy or not, and I find I work my jaw way more all night snugging it back into position. It never falls out or off but it does loosen a little and I have to bite it back up. So it's a pain and it's keeping me from really sleeping well. I'm sure, however, that it's working to protect my teeth so I'm torn on the whole thing. I did have to melt it twice to work the fit but it is a fine fit and compared to a pro guard, very much worth the cost. Not sure if I can commit to it 100% even after several weeks of on and off use. If you don't use it, what's the point, right?

It does fit a small mouth
I myself have a small mouth, contrary to what my parents told me growing up. I do usually remold this guard a few times but this is also the fourth one I have purchased so it isn't a ton of effort. The guard for me lasts around 8 months and I try to keep a spare on hand if I notice I'm wearing a hole in it. It really protects my teeth, my dentist was pleased and as long as I keep up on replacing it, no cracked molars. The guard stays snug in place overnight, well secured to my top teeth. I don't find it overly thick, and if I to feel any uncomfortable rubbing I can trim with scissors. It's easy to mold and insert/remove. It had a good price point to where I can replace it without breaking the bank. The time between replacements will depend soley on the severity of your grinding issues.

Bulky, rigid and uncomfortable
My dentist also recommended this night guard to try out instead of them building me a custom one. I found the night guard to be very bulky, uncomfortable, and hard to mold. There’s basically a tray on the bottom that’s super rigid and then the part that you mold is inside of the tray. It doesn’t sit well in my mouth and the soft part that molds around your teeth gets super hard and painful against my gums when it dries. Just wasn’t a good fit for me so I went with a different softer brand instead that fully molds around my teeth. I prefer that style to this one.
