WEN 2305 Rotary Tool Kit with Flex Shaft

Not worthy of money

The machine is a total waste. I bought this rotary tool on the 18th of April ‘18 and was delivered to me on the 24th of April ‘18.In one day of use, in which the usage was just to test the product, the below mentioned things have happened.1. In 10 minutes of first time use, the sanding drum mandrel bent out of shape after immense vibrations. The sanding drum ripped apart while sanding a piece of soft wood.2. The flex shaft which i installed as per the manual overheated and the wire melted away.3. The cutting disk broke while in use and flew towards my face. Now i have a battle scar right below my lower lip.4. There is sparking inside the machine.WEN industries should really look into these issues.

- Poor bit quality.- Shaft and motor overheats very quickly- when using bits with a large diameter on low rpm, bit oscillation is very high. Hence unable to use.Could be dangerous even for power users.

Bit holding colett too weak & cant grip any bits. Had to buy extra chuck for 1/4 the price of this tool. Otherwise it does a good job for its price. It gets hot so not meant for prolonged use.

Please do not buy not good

Have not received the product for more than a month after the payment.. probably a scam..... (seller name:big brands)

Very noisy and it vibrates like a hell..

For a couple of years now, I have wanted a Dremel tool bit simply could not bring myself to spend the money. Many jobs came and went, where I wished I had one. Quite by chance, I happened upon this rotary tool WITH A FLEX SHAFT and a number of assorted bits for a price that made it hard to say "no".As soon as it arrived, I started using it. While I will say that a couple of the sanding drums slipped a bit on the end of the shaft under pressure, all in all, I am super impressed.The assortment of bits, the variable speed of the tool and the added value of the flex shaft, made this a fantastic buy. Suddenly I was seeing a ton of jobs that I could benefit using this tool for and now I wonder how I went this long without one of these. Although I can not speak to it's longevity, I will say that this is an even greater value than I was hoping it would be. This is one of the better "surprises" from my many purchases on Amazon. I will buying a few more of these to take care of a couple of birthdays and possibly a Christmas gift or two. I believe in it that much.Will update review if anything is worthy of reporting over time...

I use rotary tools only occasionally and felt that my usage did not justify spending the big bucks for a Dremel branded one. I already have a small battery-powered Dremel that is not very powerful but comes in handy from time to time. This tool is much more powerful than my other one and can handle bigger jobs with ease. It's comfortable enough to grip and comes with a flex shaft, which I have not used yet but seems capable. Overall I'd recommend this tool as a low cost alternative to a Dremel.

The tool itself is excellent, feels cheap like the plastic just feels kinda like it's gonna break, but it's not. It also smells cheap, if that make sense, like that pungent odor of plastic. However ignoring aesthetics, it's an excellent tool. The button can be flicked easily, and the speed setting is at a nice place as well.The only reason i wouldn't give it a 5 star is because the accessories it comes with are garbage, the cut off disks are a legitimate safety concern snapping on contact with wood, and wearing down in a matter of moments. All the sanding bit grit wears down way too fast, i was sanding some pine and i noticed it wasn't sanding well, stopped the machine and noticed all the grit had gone smooth. The grinding bits are better, but no where near good quality, also going smooth in moments. The buffing tool is the best, but that's not saying much, it's thread is wearing down from minor use and it's shedding the felt or fabric on each use. I have yet to use the drill bits as i have a good drill, but they also look flimsy.I don't care too much about the bits being trash, as the machine is capable of using dremel bits, which are superior quality and not too expensive. Plus i have plenty lying around.The extension tool is excellent as well, it doesn't seem to have any RPM drop off, and can be bent in every way. No complaints on that.The box it comes in, is a cheap plastic case, but i can't complain too much. You have to treat it like a unicorn, but i'm fine doing that as most of the time the box sits empty while i work in a shelf, or it sits with the machine while i'm not working. Don't expect it to survive a fall.

It arrived on time and packaged well. No damage. The tool has the flexibility I needed for several jobs. It fits well in my hand and works just as it should.
