The best substrate I've found and we've tried a fair few. Our tortoise loves this one, it's fine and a bit gritty but rarely dusty. Easy to skip out and lasts well. Package is quite heavy but manageable. I buy this one on a regular basis and rarely buy an alternative now unless I have to. Great Value :)

Good product but let down by the delivery company

My tortoise like it, he can hide under the soil. I ordered this several times, it’s good value for money because it’s 2 packs. But I’m sure the delivery guy hates it because it’s very heavy. Very clean soil, i will order it again.

My tortoise prefers the Mediterranean soil to the bark chippings you can also get . I find it easy to clean . I normally buy 2 bags for his tortoise table plus I get him edible meadow grass for his sleeping quarters. The Mediterranean soil was delivered well packaged and quickly, very pleased .

If your planning on getting this for a Vivarium or tortoise. Then take my advice and don't. 3 days I had it in my setup. Not only does the small balls of limestone pose a danger if ingested, but my tortoise scratched all my brand new glass. I was a brand new setup so obviously he was restless, but if it gets wet it turns into hard clumps of cement. Its horrible stuff. It also has ripped all my sealant away. This is just 3 days, so imagine permanently using it. Just be warned!

i brought this pack for my totoise, it came semi moist not dry which i liked and is soft so my tortoise likes to dig in it and drag it everywhere!
