Love this dog food for my cat. I accidently buy it thinking its vegan cat food, and now he loves it, more than tuna and eggs!My cat is vegan and you should let people know they cat buy it for their cat. I also advertise it for my sisters dog.

This is great for all who do not want to take part in the torture of animals for our plates. It is nice that we can safely include our dogs! My dog loves the taste, and I did have a previous dog that loved the taste. She passed away due to old age and the dog I have now picked up with this food where she left off. I also give my neighbor's dog a 13 ounce can of this five days a week as a treat and he loves it.The quality is everything needed for our precious dogs. It is easy on the digestive system. The ingredients are all that a dog needs. I do not find that it has any aroma but that is ok, my dog loves it. I use a couple of tablespoons of this mixed with Halo's dry dog food for adult dogs to equal the amount my dog is to eat each day, and I mix it with the dry just for my dog's enjoyment. I do recommend this product, the canned and dry versions of Halo dog food.

Have to give it for 4 stars for the damaged cans—poor quality control.My dogs love this food and they’re very healthy on it. They’ve been eating it for about 8 years or so.I find, though, that we receive some damaged cans with every case. This is unsafe for my dogs to eat and outrageous for the price that we pay for it.

Great product! Recently changed my dogs diet back to Vegan and she is 100 percent feeling better! Her bowel movements are again perfect! Her health was not so good recently on an animal based low fat diet with pancreatic issues and recurring UTI’s. She is moving around again like she did a few years ago and itching is so much better. My two dogs love eating this canned food, but one of my dogs developed a red rash on her stomach when she started eating this Halo canned food. I have stopped feeding it to her because of this allergic reaction she has developed, which has only happened while eating this version of Halo food. I also don't like that it's overly processed and bland looking, showing No vegetables. Luckily my other dog has not developed this rash.

I bought this food because its pate consistency is perfect for hiding my dog's meds. I really was skeptical that she would like a plant-based food since she is about as carnivorous as it gets. She turns her nose up at most foods that aren't meat or cheese, including peanut butter! I, however, am vegan and always try to find her food that is as ethically sourced as possible. Halo is one of the few brands that is Animal Welfare Certified by the Global Animal Partnership and after trying a chicken & salmon flavor from them that she liked, I decided to give this formula a try. She devours it!My only wish is that the labeling was a little easier to understand. Its ingredients don't list any obvious grains, but it is not labeled as grain-free, so I'm guessing something in this formula is considered a grain? I avoid grains for my dog, but whatever grain is in this food, it must be minimal, as she has had no adverse reactions after eating several cans. I also think it would be good if Halo included their GAP partnership step # on their label. So that's it -- the food itself is great and the only changes I'd like to see are on the labeling.

Semi dry and hard in can with dark oily residue at bottom. Dogs won’t touch.
