Works
Works as stated in the description. Nice tool to keep in vehicle and atv’s.

Does nothing well
This thing does nothing well. The back of the blade has rounded corners so you can't get a spark. The knife is very poor quality and the whistle is bad too. Worthless.

Good starter tool for your emergency kit
I think this is a nice idea, but you probably won't rely solely on this device in order to survive. You'd need more equipment. But, it's a handy tool to have on your keychain. It can also be carried on a neck lanyard, which is included. It has these features: a built-in whistle, a small ferro rod, a small knife, a bottle opener on the back of the knife blade. Everything is packed into a small tube that is light green and metallic. It is sturdy and the items inside the tube are firmly attached. Nothing was loose. The whistle does work and it can be loud, depending upon how much effort you put into it. The knife is really small and would likely be useful, but not the most useful tool in a survival situation. I'd prefer to have a full-sized knife with me, but this one would do some things in a pinch. The small ferro rod is nice, but these little ones can be tough to actually use. The ferro rod is too short to get a decent shower of sparks from, although you can get sparks with a lot of effort. You could probably get a fire going with it. A larger ferro rod would give you a better chance at success because you would get more sparks though. This one is a little over an inch long, so I had to really work to get any sparks. I didn't use the included knife to get the ferro rod working.Overall, this is a handy little tool to have around. It's nice that it can be used as a keychain, so I am more likely to have it with me. (I attached it to my car keys.) It comes in a metal box, which will be useful for storing other things, like pens for work. It's a good starter tool, but I recommend building up your toolset for survival purposes with more robust items in addition to this one. It's not bad as an introductory tool though.

Misrepresented much?
Stainless steel blade which was loose in the package by the way. Still working on getting a tolerable edge on it.Fero rod is nothing if not cheap ( and I know cheap fero rods). After sanding off the outer protective coating to get my actual striker tool to finally get sparks. I tried with the knife, like the picture represents. I did not however expect a stainless steel blade to ever draw a spark on a fero rod. That is a lot like chipping ice by hitting it with a rubber mallet. Glad I keep a P-38 on my keyring.

Teaching Tool for Beginners
While experienced survivalist may find this tool lacking, it serves as an cool teaching tool for those new to outdoor activities. The combination of basic survival functions encourages my son to learn the fundamentals of fire starting, signaling and general utility. The tool's black color and sturdy construction give it a sleek and durable appearance. Its compact size and lightweight design make it easy to carry. The fact that it comes on a rope adds convenience, allowing you to keep the tool easily accessible. The fire starter features a Flint and Steel mechanism, accompanied by an All-Weather Magnesium Ferro Rod. While it may not be the most advanced fire starting tool on the market,, it is effective for basic fire ignition in various weather conditions. The simplicity of the design makes it an excellent learning tool for beginners. In addition to the fire starter it incorporates a whistle for emergency situations, a knife for general utility and a bottle opener for added convenience. This multi-functionality makes it a well rounded tool for basic outdoor needs. So while it's not the ultimate survival tool, it's cute to for me and the kids to use during camping or hiking.

Nice kit in a small package
This “survival kit” is a nice addition to any purse, backpack, or true survival kit. I wouldn’t say it’s a true kit, but it’s not a bad tool to have either. It combines a good small sharp knife, a flint, whistle, and a small amount of parador into a tiny package. The flint strikes nicely and produces a good spark, the fixed blade knife is sharp and easy to handle, and the whistle is quickly available. The fact that the housing comes in different colors will help this catch on, and may be the reason I convince my wife that she needs to have this with her when she’s headed in to or out of work. All that said, I wouldn’t term this as a survival kit, but it is tools everyone should have just in case.
