12/06/2019 - OTG on FireStick 4k - Working
Let us set the expectations...* although the device may work, the USB device you are using may not be supported by the streaming device you are using. This is not a detraction from the cable. Some devices are not supported by Linux and Spin-off OSs like Android. When I first started to write this review I couldn't get my perfectly working PNY 32G USB2 memory stick to be recognized in either cable, on either of the FireSticks.Replacing the PNY with a Similarly Spec'ed SanDisk Cruzer 32G USB2 memory stick and it works great.I see someone knocked the product for not having an instruction sheet. It is a cable.Do you get an instruction sheet for an Apple Lightning Cable or a Micro USB cable? No.You plug the devices in the only way that they can be plugged in.The manufacture has no idea what device you are plugging this into or what OS it is using. For support of the Device to use this cable... you would have to go to the device manufacturer. That said,You just plug in the device the only way possible. You can do a search on YouTube and find plenty of examples of people plugging in the device to the power, and then into the Streaming stick and plugging in the desired USB device. But it is really self explanatory. On FireSticks, you will have to download a FileBrowser to access te files on the Stick.ES Browser is the one I downloaded. You cannot download directly to the stick. You cannot "Upgrade" your Firestick's internal memory, just add the removable memory.Meaning, you can transfer files to the stick. You can watch movies from the stick. But if you run out of internal memory while downloading a movie from your favorite legal streaming service with offline support, your download will fail.I have not tested Keyboards or Mice yet.Just Memory sticks. If your memory stick fails to work, it is probably not supported by your device.

Used to add storage to an Amazon Firestick
I used these to add additional storage space for an Amazon Firestick. I put my media and music locally on the stick, which makes streaming the music and movies a lot more reliable. Before I would stream the files from from my computer to my Firestick, and had buffering issues since my Firestick is quite a ways away from my router.Installation was super easy, literally a "plug and play" installation, took me all of 2 minutes to get the Firestuck to see the local storage. I only have a 32 GB USB stick attached to it, so I'm not sure of the maximum size, however it will definitely work with a 32 GB stick.

Didn't work on a firestick
I bought this because I had read this is what I needed to expand my firestick memory. The fire sick sees it but says only micro SD cards can do that.

Cables Worked Fine, Many Reviewers Say
... without indicating what goals they were accomplishing with these cables and the storage devices connected thereto. After a while, I read a review in which the author indicated he intended to copy some movie files on his PC to a USB drive connected to his Fire stick with these cables, so he could watch them on his TV. My immediate reaction might interest those of you with similar objectives. Why not simply run PLEX Media Server on your PC and the PLEX client app on your stick. Unlike USB drives of any ilk, PLEX is free, among many other more significant virtues. This incredible software can send movies, videos, pictures, music, TV shows... you name it... from the relevant folders on your PC to any device in your arsenal. Of course, you can also view all this stuff on your PC monitor. Why use cables when wifi is available? Anywhere in the world. Check it out. You won't regret it.
