Can this be used to remove dried paint spots off of the carpet?

I figured it would be iffy as this product is more or less like Goo-Gone; it removes sticky stuff. In my review, I also warned readers that when I attempted to remove a sticker from a lovely wall shelf, it took the finish completely off, so I feared it would ruin the carpet. However, I happened to have a piece of carpet. I sprayed a bit of red paint on it, let it dry and then tried Goof-Off. It did not damage the carpet but it did not remove the red paint at all. I would try rubbing some paint thinner on the spot with a stiff brush, followed by some soapy water on a sponge. This has worked for me in the past.

I don’t know. I bought it to get acrylic paint off my leather sofa and it didn’t work. It smells really bad. I don’t recommend it.

Would this be ok to clean a 3 tier plastic storage bin before i spray paint it?

This is more for removing previous glue or adhesive. Versus a surface prep. Consider tri-sodium phosphate cleaner or follow your paints surface prep directions.
