Been using L-Lysine for years to clear up or stop fever blisters in their tracks! Works wonders! I will never be without it! The are a bit big, so be careful when taking them! But for me, I'd rather take a big pill several times a day than deal with a fever blister! These are a really good price for the amount of caplets you get! I have suffered from Cold Sores my entire life (that I can recall). I am 45+ years old and have been taking L-Lysine for roughly 10 years now. It works. If I catch a cold sore early, it doesn't come out if I take L-Lysine. When I feel the tingle I start to take 2 of these pills in the morning, one in the afternoon and 2 more in the evening before sleeping. I do this for the whole time I feel the tingle and 2 days after it stops. It takes longer if I miss the tingle and they start to come out in which case I do this until the sores are completely gone (+2 days).That said, THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT!! Over the last 10 years I have taken dozens of brands of L-Lysine. Most are giant and no coating on them. Making them hard to swallow, or on a few occasions get stuck and I freak out. These have a coating on them, like other medications, to help them go down easier. YES they are huge, I have yet to find one on the market that isnt huge (sadly). BUT like I said, these have a nice coating on them so they go down easier than any others I have tried. The price is right, I get a bunch in one bottle which lasts a long time and most important, they work!That said, TMI time, they do cause some constipation, so be sure to drink lots of water with them. Hope this helps someone out. I have told everyone I can about these since I found them. No reason to still get cold sores when you can take these.

I always take this with food so idk if it will cause stomach upset if taken without food. The only thing I don't like about this supplement is that the pill is so freaking big! I understand that it's 1000 mg and not 500mg like I usually take, but it's just too big of a pill for me. I will not purchase again just because of that reason. Otherwise, the product is great.

I’m one of those that have always had trouble swallowing pills until recently. I was hoping to add Lysine into my supplements for the skin and immunity benefits, and ultimately decided to try this brand. The tablets are slightly thicker than standard tablets (length is about standard), which make these a bit bigger than what I was expecting. As others noted, there is a coating on the tablets that make them surprisingly easy to swallow.Since Lysine is a slay/water soluble, I try to take it on an empty stomach for maximum efficacy. I am only about a month into using it daily. I haven’t noticed any side effects, but haven’t necessarily noticed anything specifically different - but then again, for skin and immunity it is more for a preventative/boost, then something I expect to see a lot of results from.

I’ve tried many lysine products and brands over the years. These seemed like a great quantity for the price.

I don't really know what to compare this to since I've never taken L-Lysine before.I break out with cold sores about three to four times a year and it's embarrassing, painful, and irritating. I was recommended to take L-Lysine to help limit the breakouts and so far none. I've been taking this for about six months now.At one point, I did get the weird tingling feeling before I usually breakout, but nothing surfaced. Can't help but think this works.
