Looks Good At First Review
I wanted a face mask to use for bicycling in colder weather. Originally I wanted one that went over the top of my head. But then I borrowed an old lycra one from a friend, and found that the top of my head got really hot. Another friend said neoprene is really good and to get one. So I decided to get this mask. FYI, the mask I received is a Zan mask. I wanted to write this now because the mask was different than I expected and it's sort of hard to tell what these masks look like in the pictures on Amazon. First, this is not a pullover mask like some of the balaclava's are. You put this mask over the front of your face and then attach both ends together behind your head with velcro. I like it. This helps me get a good fit. Second, I wear glasses. If you do, too, don't put the mask on & then the glasses as I usually do. Leave your glasses on & put the mask over the glasses (carefully). The mask and my glasses fit really well. Third, when you fold it, the mask lies flat. I like that, too. It has gotten warm in Kentucky so I haven't had a chance to "field test" the mask. I wear glasses and my major concern is that my glasses will fog up while riding. I think the face mask is going to keep my face nice and warm. If my glasses fog up (because of air coming up from my nose, I will put one of my swimming noseclips on my nose and breathe through my mouth only.

You get what you paid for.
It arrived a month earlier than expected, so that was an absolute bonus (especially with the bitter cold moving back in to my area--I got to make use of it before I even got on the bike)Lower priced than the ones at Wally's, my only complaints are as follows:(1) Yes, it is a bit snug on a fat head like mine. But it's nothing impairing, and I can move and hear just fine in it.(2) The breathing holes aren't quite as functional as they seem in the photos. In fact, every time I exhale, it blasts right into my eyes. But that's nothing a nice office hole-punch can't fix. (same for if you want to wear glasses instead of goggles--you may want to punch a couple holes next to the eye slot to fit the arms of your favorite shades)(3) The photos make it look as though the mask goes under the chin. It doesn't. Either my jaw/chin is too big, or the designer has a tiny retracted jaw. But again, no big deal for me.All in all, a worthwhile purchase.

Best solution for cyclists I've yet found
I bicycle commute 14 miles each way to/from work in Wisconsin several thousand miles a year. I use this face mask for windy and cold days below 20°F (-7°C). Does a great job of keeping my face comfortable. So far I have ridden in sustained windows of 25 MPH (40 kph) with gusts of 40 MPH (64 kph) at 25°F (-4°C) and less windy days at 18°F (-8°C).My biggest complaint is that the nose pinches and restricts breathing (correction: only if worn tight). This causes my nose to clog up and requires I stop to clear it out. With a helmet on there isn't an easy way to do this and it is an irritation. After some experimentation I found I can life the mask over my nose from the bottom, allowing me to clear my nostrils. Wearing the mask lose prevents pinching.I have long hair kept in a tail at the back of my head. The straps that hold the mask in place connect right where my hair is first banded. The hook and latch can get caught in your hair. To help prevent this, I added tape around some of the hooks. For the most part, the bike helmet keep the mask in place and the hook and latch connections are just needed to keep the mask in place while putting on the helmet. The holes provided for the mouth are too restrictive for heavy breathing. I cut the mouth and added some tape to block wind. This works well for me.Update 2019: I have since tried other face masks but keep coming back to this one. I have used this mask in combination with a balaclava and goggles down to -26°F/-32°C. I use it for most days below 25°F/-4°C. So far it is the best. I am upgrading the rank to 4 stars for this reason. Mask does work with goggles. Days below 0°F/-18°C expect frost on mask and/or a icicle on chin. This is cosmetic only and does not effect mask's performance.

Buy this mask. Enough said.
This mask is great. I bought this in preparation for this coming winter in north central Illinois, and of course had to test it out. First off it does have a mild odor, but its neoprene and that is to be expected. Otherwise the fit is great and I spent 30 minutes straight in a walk in freezer and came out nice and toasty warm. The neoprene is exactly made of the right density and the velcro isn't that cheep stuff that just falls apart. If I had any complaint it would be that if I had a large head like one of my friends does it wouldn't fit, but that isn't the case for me, I personally have plenty of room to spare. All and all I can't wait to use it this winter. Mother nature, bring it on.

Made a few altercations
Biggest pro for this face mask is the price point is low. I'm quite pleased with how it fits around my head but it seems to have been designed for someone with a rather long face. The breathing holes are actually on my chin and the nose piece was about 1" to long and uncomfortable as sin with the pressue it put on the bridge of my nose. It's a fairly cheap item however and I didn't feel like loosing the return shipping and handling so I grabbed my trusty scissors and removed the portion of the mask from the stitches in the corner of the eyes to the stitches below the nose hole. This has done two things, one my nose feels fine again and the area infront of my mouth is mostly open. It still has the rest of my face feeling nice and toasty though it may be important to note I got this to go over an Under Armor face mask, which honestly isn't as warm as one might anticipate.I like this product because it's cheap and I don't feel bad about cutting a few pieces out to make it functional.
