I love this little gem!
I’ve used this little iFi usb iPurifier 3 in two systems to great effect.Just tried it with my chord mojo og, it is plugged into an audioquest usb B- to micro usb adapter that plugs into the mojo, using an iPhone 13 pro max as a source, camera adapter > Pangea Usb cable > iFi > adapter > mojo > linsoul cable > drop noble K10 iem.I was doing a test without the iFi from YouTube, Amazon HD, and a cd rip on my iPhone of a track by Dianne Reeves - Lullaby of Birdland. This is a live studio recording of vocalist jazz combo and orchestra. I use this track for the ability of a system to handle a very busy complex wall of sound with many layers. Most systems sound overwhelmed and a bit congested on the orchestral crescendos.YouTube sounded smeared in the backing orchestra on the crescendos. With the iFi, there was much more clarity, definition, insight, layers were present, individual instruments more present, more musical, more interesting listen.Amazon HD sounded a little flattened but better and more informative in the orchestra. With iFi all the above but more defined, more image density, more resolution, mo better :)With a cd rip on Apple Music, a lot more clarity, a little blocky images, best attempt at the orchestra still could be better. With iFi images more natural, very good density, vocals have just a slight higher frequency emphasis ( I don’t notice this in the main system though, i use a linear power supply on the iFi there which might be the difference ) still more 3d effect, dynamics, greater resolution of images, and the orchestra crescendo don’t seem congested, brass, strings sound better defined!iFi in main system feeding an audiophellio 2 usb-sodif converter with inline lps. This changed the whole character of my dac giving it a more relaxed, less fuzzy images, better frequency response top to bottom, more space around more clearly defined images. An iMac divorced usb cable to the iFi. This is a resolving system so small differences can be noticeable. This sounded like a source upgrade and or dac upgrade. As a tinkerer of audio trying to improve things, this little device was/is impressive.Ive had it since 2021, it is powered up on the computer by the lps constantly, that can be helpful for electronics longevity, not heat cycling that much. These do take time to run in 50+ hours to hear their best performance as they have some better capacitors that need time to optimize.Worth a go in a headphone iem chain, desktop or main system, best going into a dac or dongle from the source. Thanks iFi!!!

At first I didn't know what to expect - but the results can be startling
OK all of you fellow audio Homies, as you know, there is always the occasional audio related product (or products) that we periodically come across that leave us wondering if it's all snake oil or the real deal. And this particular iFi Purifier 3 was no different. As a matter of background information - to set the stage for this review - I am running an audio system centered around my desktop PC. I'm using several self-powered (active) speakers, mainly the Edifier S3000Pro's, the Edifier R2000DB's, the Edifier R1850D's, and the JBL 1 Series 104's. They are being fed with the following DAC units: The iFi ZenDAC, the Soundavo HP-DAC1, the Schiit Modi 3, the FX-Audio DAC-X6, and the Sabaj D3 switchable back and forth thanks to a hi-quality (lossless) GoHiFiAudio S1 RCA audio switcher. The USB cables I'm using are all Audioquest Pearl units. I've always experienced very nice audio quality with this setup and I'm quite picky about what type of sound I feed this system. Since I spend a good 6 - 8 hours daily on my PC, working, communicating, and photo processing in Photoshop (I'm a photographer also), I tend to listen to quite a bit of classical, big band, jazz, and other larger orchestral music styles. So having excellent sound quality is of the utmost importance to me.When I started reading about USB code reclocking (among other terms) and came across the ifi Purifier 3, I became intrigued to say the least - yet at the same time, I wondered if this device was just another ridiculous contraption to rid you of your cash? But being the guinea pig that I am, I ordered one. When it arrived I was very, very pleasantly surprised at the military grade build quality and the extra cable adapters that iFi provides. Now bear in mind I mentioned that I had a series of DAC units - and there was no way that I was going to order 5 or 6 different iFi Purifier 3's to fit each DAC. Instead, what I did was order just one and attacedh it to a USB hub (where I have the DAC's plugged into - and nothing else). And yes, it worked - in fact, I was sort of stunned to begin listening and hearing a much "cleaner" sound emanating from my speakers. I figured since all of my DAC's are plugged into this one USB hub (and only those DAC's), I'd just connect the iFi Purifier between the hub and the PC, crossing my fingers that it would work. At first (for around 30 seconds or so), no sound was coming out and I guess this was due to Windows figuring out how to accept this device. After that, all was well.Sound-wise, the iFi Purifier is definitely NOT snake oil. What I noticed - and it's not my imagination - is that some of the higher frequency "grundge" was no longer there. In addition, something happened with the bass that I was not prepared for, and that was the bottom end (or what your speakers can handle) was a bit more defined and tight. Some of the orchestral pieces that I enjoyed listening to (and use as my reference standard for evaluation purposes) now were presented in an even cleaner fashion - with no harsh overtones or harmonics. It was (especially with some orchestra pieces) as if a small yet very distinguishable veil was lifted between you and the orchestra. All of a sudden I felt more connected with the musical environment. High's that previously had lots of bite (and some that were raspy sounding for example), now were substantially smoothed out, at the same time providing more "air" around the instrumentation. And this leads to a longer listening time without listening fatigue.Additionally, another variable was now introduced into my listening environment, and that involved depth and imaging improvements. Sure, I was quite content previously with what I found to be excellent imaging (placement of instruments) and depth. But now, there's even more air and definition to that depth. Crescendo or heavy transients had more power - more immediacy. And nooooo, I'm not trying to search for more superlatives because what I've just described was the result of my adding this iFi Purifier 3.0 to my system. I can honestly state (as of this writing) that the iFi Purifier 3.0 is the type of audio ancillary equipment that can provide a noticeable improvement - far above what its price-point would indicate. The audio improvements it can interject into your system (again, all I can talk about what occurred with mine) can be remarkable. I cannot, within recent memory, recall a device of this nature providing such a major improvement for such a small price point - go figure?Look, I've been bitten in the past by misleading claims by various ancillary audio products that wound up being just that - snake oil! But not with this iFi Purifier 3 USB conditioner. This is $129 USD well worth it and it's built to last. My only other experience with iFi products was purchasing their absolutely superb iFi ZenDAC which is currently my reference standard. In fact, I may order another one of these iFi Purifier's - that's how much I believe in it.As is always the case with any product, Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV), but for most I can safely assume that most folks will be quite pleased, especially if they know what to listen for and if your listening standards are higher than normal.

You have to try it in your system to see if it is a good fit
I tried it between my Lush^2 usb cable and iMac using sox software to do first unfold of MQA files and feed my Rotel RA-1572 integrated amp with internal dac playing over 8tc speaker cables to a pair of Boenicke w5 speakersA very nice sounding under $8000.00 rigFor a small apt ..it was an experiment in if it would detract or enhance from sound quality ..it to me was a degradation of sound ..I think in a system of lesser quality it might have a purpose if your components arnt quite so revealing

Wow. is all I can say.
I was honestly skeptical of the iFI iPurifier3 as most people in the audiophile community call products like this "snake oil" or a scam. But after plugging this into my source chain. It has made a SIGNIFICANT difference. The blacker background, vocal clarity, instrument separation, dynamics has all improved because of this little device.Listening to some EDM tracks I couldn't help but sit there and focus on all the details that I haven't heard before. It presents it in a much more articulate, clearer fashion. I had to make sure that it was because of the iPurifier that was causing this improvement so I A/B'ed with it attached to my DAC and without it. And without it, the music sounds very congested and vocals are a bit subdued. It doesn't brighten any aspect but just makes it a more clear, cohesive sound.Trust me, I bought this through Amazon just in case that it was in fact snake oil, I'd send it back in a heartbeat. But no way am I sending this back. I recommend this for those who have a noisy PC, because I had no idea how noisy my gaming rig was. It has made the most difference out of any component that I have added to my chain. And I have upgraded just about everything. Truly amazing product, definitely recommend.

sembra funzionare !

AWESOME
I can't say it'll do the trick for every music listener, now will it make a sik purse out of a sow's ear, but in my own case the iPurifier3 turned a dingy-sounding USB connection between an old thinkpad and a Denafrips Ares II DAC into something immaculate. The Ares seems to be only as good as the quality of its feed and now it now sounds FANTASTIC!UPDATE: It sounds even better connected to the output from an Ipad Pro. With a linear power supply connected via a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, I've quickly lost any curiosity I had for more expensive solutions. I can't imagine my system any better! And now my budget might even be cleared for a Roon membership!

Wirkt gegen "Digitalitis"

The biggest difference to my system ever. Amazing.
I bought this, attached it to my USB cable and plugged it in to my Chord DAC. It is amazing. There is no longer any bloat to the sound from the speakers. Before using this I had to be careful turning the volume up as I knew which notes and sounds would bloat and stand out badly. The sound is now ultra clear and "stays back" at the speakers". No forced sound at all. I never noticed any background noise before but I now know what silence means; I can hear way more going on in the music, details coming through from CD's I have listened to for 30 years. When I listen to music now, it really does sound like I am in the studio with the artists. I can hear the reverb tails on vocals that were hidden before. Singers like Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion no longer have that screechy edge. The sound is smooth and velvety and finding the sweet spot is so easy. The depth of the soundstage is brilliant, I can hear horns and drums that are way behind the violins. The whole sound is lighter and "free". I can hear longer fade-outs on songs that I didn't know existed before. The bass is deeper and thicker in a beautiful way and I find myself tapping my foot all the time where I never used to. I have to check that I am listening in stereo as the soundstage almost envelops me on some songs. Fantastic. I cannot recommend this enough, even on expensive systems.
