Simple, effective, sturdy weed pulling - no bending required! My back's favorite new gardening tool!
After having adding some decorative landscaping in our backyard last summer, it feels like we are always fighting against public enemy #1: WEEDS. We live in FL and I feel like things grow faster here...so it is a constant problem. While we have a weeding tool - it's older and requires you to manually push the weeds off the prongs once you pull them...so it's a LOT of bending. I figured that there had to be a better way than this, right?Turns out...there is...and it's the Garden Weasel! I don't know why I didn't find this sooner but I am SO glad I did, because, WOW...what a difference!! This thing WORKS so incredibly well - no weed is a match for it. It turns dirt effortlessly and releases the weeds when you are ready...making the job of weeding the flower beds and other areas a much faster and easier job than usual. But it doesn't just stop at weeds - it's also an excellent tool for loosening soil, tilling, cultivating and more. This is a tool that you WANT to use for as much stuff as possible because it's comfortable to use and pretty ergonomically friendly. Luckily, it is very adjustable so you can move the steel tines according to the job you are using this for.Despite being a heavy duty tool, it is surprisingly light...which is incredibly rare for a garden tool of this heft. It's made out of carbon steel so it's also rust proof/weather resistant...another bonus as we often forget to bring tools back in the garage (oops) and it rains often here. While this tool is pretty great overall, the big selling feature here is the twist leverage, since it lets you loosen soil and more without bending and crouching. This feature works beautifully and flawlessly...and it really sets this thing apart from other weed pullers. But I want to mention the foot step as well as this is also SO much better on this tool than any other pullers I've used. It's comfortable, large enough to be effective, and super sturdy. This makes it SO much safer and effective than pullers with tiny foot steps (or none at all) - and honestly that alone makes this thing worth buying. The fact that it's a Garden Weasel product is really icing on the cake, as they are known for making GREAT garden tools. This one is certainly no exception. I hope to never need the lifetime guarantee as I cannot imagine this thing ever breaking based on build, but it's nice to know it's available nonetheless.I cannot recommend this thing enough - it's made a job I absolutely DREADED doing so much better. I would rate it 500 stars if I could!!

Very good weeder and cultivator
The garden weasel is a very sturdy and well made tool. It is easy to set up. The only tyhing which needs assembly are trhe togs, which can be configured in 3 ways for small to large areas.. Bwecause we are well into planting season in Hawaiii, most of my garden beds have plants in them so I could onlu use it in areas which were not yet planted. I used it on the small setting and found it easpecially good at taking out weeds. I wish I'd had it earlier in the season when I spent days treying to get rid of some grass which crept into my beds before planting in them,. This tool would have made much faster work of a tediu=ous chore.. It did get the rerst of the grass, roots and all. The one are where it weasn't especially helpful was turnijng in the clover. the roots kept getting tangled. It did. all come out and now I can choose to put it in my composter, or dig it in manually.I will be taking iot out to other areas of our yard where we have fe5rn roots just under thhe surface, ab=nd I want to get it ready to plant other thinghs. I am not sure how it will deal with fern roots which are much larger, but it is sure worth trying out since it did such a good job of getting rid of the grass.... yes, and the clover too.

Handy, versatile and well-built
This has been a great versatile tool in the garden. Something that I appreciate that I haven't seen in other tools similar to this is the ability to change the claws on the bottom quickly and easily allowing you to have multiple tools in one. Very sturdy and well built. Seems like it will last quite a long time.

solid and mostly effective
I like that this tool is build solid and durable. It's one piece instead of some items I see with multiple links connected together. Instructions are minimal so anything I've learned has been on you tube videos and tips. The tines are built thick and does a great job of breaking up the soil. The key is if you have tough hard compacted soil, to do this after a good watering or a soaking rain and it will be easier to break down. You can still do it without but it's a bit harder. If you are trying to figure out what setting to put the tines in, there is a small print on the bottom of the tool to show you S, M, L, settings. Just put the pointy part to one of those settings and that should help a lot without using a piture on the box or something. I've used it on the small and large setting, one to help extract weeds, and the other to loosen up the soil and they both worked well. As far as value for the money goes, that's up to interpretation. It's a little pricey but if you get years of use out of it, then it will be well worth it.

WORKS GREAT
This works great! I really like that you can adjust the way the tines are inserted which will affect the size of the claw so I am able to get into some tighter spaces when I need to, too. This is strong enough to hold up to anything standard I'd be likely to need to mix up. I wouldn't use it to create a new garden where I currently have lawn- but I can aerate and mix fertilizers in my already established gardens with this with ease. Glad to have it in my garden tool arsenal.
