Won’t charge / turn on
Phone looks great, feels good, works as expected but after one use, the phone will not charge or turn on. I’m very technically minded, I build gaming PC’s for people as a hobby, so I have tried all the obvious troubleshooting methods but cannot get the phone to respond to a charger or turn on.

Great Little Thing
This is a lovely little phone. The size is perfect for a child (primary school). The functionality is pretty sophisticated for a little tiny phone for a child to take with them on a school trip, but it, of course, could be better. It works and, in this price range, this is all that matters at the moment.The ethical question as to whether your child needs a phone is widely discussed. However, I am leaving the challenging topic of online safety to the side - my main concern at this stage is my child's safety. Full stop. And to be safe and know what to do when you are lost (happens) one is probably safe with a phone than a stranger. So a phone we got.This tiny thing works a treat. It might not be the most elaborate treat you get but it does what I want it to do for a child - it keeps us connected. The battery works, for now. The camera works, too. It might not be the most upbeat of devices but I am honestly happy we have it. It arrived with a flat battery, which was a bit off-putting, but that was easily rectifiable.

No security update since 2019
In settings, it showed that the phone is from 2019 and has not had a security update.The on/off button rattles and feels loose compared to the volume buttons.Returned

Not great
It's obviously a parent's individual decision as to whether to give a young child a smartphone. If I wanted to, I'm pretty sure I could find a much better option than this. It's obviously on the budget side of things, but you could get a phone with a much bigger screen and more capable hardware for just a little more money. And perhaps one that wasn't desperately trying to look like an Apple product.
