My favorite thing I have ever purchased. I can’t explain how satisfactory it is to use buttons to flip through pages. I also can’t get over how customizable this is. I love that it’s a white device. I’ve gotten so many questions on what it is and so many compliments when I explain it’s an e-reader. I haven’t left this device alone for a single day since I got it. Although it does feel so fragile that I feel the need to be extra careful with it, I would still buy this again!

My favorite purchase in 2025. Naturally, there are imperfections that come with e-ink displays but the experience of having all of your reading apps in one device far outweighs it. Because of how fragile it can be, I suggest buying a protective cover and the protection plan Amazon provides.

worst purchase i made ever! I was really excited when I bought my Boox device. I loved the idea of having a portable e-reader that I could easily carry around to read anywhere. But unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After less than two months of normal use, the screen broke — completely cracked — even though I always kept it in my bag and handled it carefully. I never dropped it or put any pressure on it, so I was shocked to see it suddenly damaged. For a product this expensive and marketed for portability, the build quality is unacceptable. When I reached out to customer service, it only got worse. They told me the screen damage wasn’t covered under warranty and offered to replace it — but the repair cost was almost the same as buying a brand new device. I asked if there were any other options, but they were slow to reply, gave short answers, and didn’t seem interested in helping at all. For the price, I expected far better durability and at least some accountability from the company. Instead, I’m left with a useless device after only a few weeks and no reasonable solution. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Boox to anyone. The screen is too fragile, and the after-sales support is unhelpful and overpriced. Save your money and go with a more reliable brand.

Absolutely no issues whatsoever like some of the others reviews here have said. Surprised by the quality of the screen and enjoyment I get out of this device. Would recommend this first to anybody looking to buy their first e-reader. A+

I love this and I took the time and care to get used to the different operating system than I’m used to, however it didn’t get through half a year before I started having issues with the screen having frozen pixels. I don’t even know what’s causing it which is very frustrating, and the one potential “fix” that I found online didn’t work. It’s getting worse, too, I just noticed two more lines of frozen pixels across the screen yesterday and I’m worried it’s going to continue deteriorating, which is not what I want from something that cost almost $300. It’s started to have some minor issues with apps crashing, as well.
