Great Value! Samsung Quality!
I purchased this model for a second home. All the TVs in my primary residence are Samsung and I am devoted to the brand for a reason - great picture and a quality TV. I confess that I am not a fan of the ever shrinking remote nor the solar charger in this model, but those issues are so minor compared to the fabulous picture at this price point. The unit is ridiculously thin with surprising sound quality. WiFi connection is flawless. I also use an OTA antenna for local channels which completes the cord-cutting. One other ding that Samsung should pay attention to - raise the leg stands just a bit so your sound bars fit under the screen without obstructing the picture at the bottom. This is an issue not unique to Samsung. Be sure to set the picture according to your room lighting. Out of the box the picture is garish - typical marketing, but some quick adjustments to Movie Mode, and some other tweaks brought an extremely good picture and color quality. The mat screen finish reduces reflection reasonably well. Another feature that makes this TV a great value.

Great TV for the price
This is an amazing TV for the price. Picture quality is great with vibrant colors. Audio output to my soundbar is incredible. The interface is snappy without any lag. The screen is bright enough for a room with some outdoor light. Setup was very easy and I appreciated the easy to install footstands, which required no tools or screws. The remote is unique and charges via solar, so it has to be kept facing the right direction. It remains to be seen how well it will stay charged with ambient light, but it can also be charged with USB. I don't particularly like the up/down audio/channel buttons. It is awkward having to slide the buttons up and down rather than directly press them. I find myself inadvertently muting the volume a lot.I was considering a comparably priced TCL with better raw specs, but I opted for the Samsung. Compared to another TCL Q series I own, the Samsung is more polished, less glitchy, and has much better upscaling and motion processing. Since I watch a lot of sports, this is very important. You'll need to adjust the judder reduction to your liking. Somewhere in the middle (3-6) works best for me.There are a few caveats. First, this is not a high end OLED or Mini LED TV. You should not expect the performance of a TV that costs twice as much or more. HDR is adequate and surprisingly good for the price, but not stellar. The viewing angle is not the best, and the TV lacks some features (it is only 60hz) that may be important for some. The picture needs some calibration out of the box. At first, dark scenes appeared a little washed out, but I was able to fix this by lowering shadow detail slightly. Here are the settings that I found work best:SDRBrightness: 45Contrast: 50Shadow Detail: -2Gamma 2084: 2Tone: Warm1Color Booster: LowBlue Light Reduction: OnContrast Enhancer: OffHDRBrightness: 50Contrast: 50Shadow Detail: -2Gamma 2084: 2Tone: Warm1Color Booster: LowBlue Light Reduction: OnHDR Tone Mapping: StaticContrast Enhancer: LowI was considering splurging for a higher end model, but I am glad I didn't. This TV is perfectly suitable for general use and will make most people happy without breaking the bank.

Works great.
Got this for my 82 Y.O. mom.Great color and brightness.Easy assembly.Took a bit to get it connected to the cable box.You can skip past the Samsung account if you don’t want it.Little to no reflection with the blinds shut, makes it very easy to see all day long, not just certain times of the day. You can see a small amount in the seams in the attached image. I had to move around just to get that to show.No optical sound output. Odd, but ok.Sounded better than her old sound bar, now via Bluetooth, plus sound bar wouldn’t come on with the tv, so I didn’t look into other connection options and just disconnected the sound bar.

Dark edges on all sides (vingetting)
This model Q7F has dark screen on all four sides, a phenomena which I understand can happen if the design//manufacturing process results in defective lenses or light pathways.. (Look up "vignetting" for a fuller explanation.) I called Samsung, who said it was a problem with the motherboard and sent out a technician who got on the phone with some Samsung expert who then decided it was the panel that needed to be replaced (in addition to the motherboard or instead of the motherboard wasn't clear) so the best thing to do would be to just replace the set. So Amazon sent out a replacement, thank you, which we installed only to discover the same problem. Called Samsung and did the same video diagnosis (so Samsung folks can see exactly what happens when I do what they tell me to do--same thing they'd done when their tech guy was on site for the first one--and they suggested I return it, again, for an AMZN replacement, thanks again Amazon. This third one was just like the first two, so I'm sending it back today, too. AMZN's been great though all this; Samsung still seems to be in denial, so I don't think ordering another one, or buying from Best Buy will have a better results. (Turns out--I checked last week--Best Buy doesn't sell this model locally, maybe because their buyers see they same thing I see when they turn it on.) If Samsung shows me a solution, I'll be happy to revise this review, but for now, it's been a real waste of my time.
