Great for Unlocked phones
I had a large sim and purchased a phone with only a micro-sim slot so this came in handy. There is a port tool for Iphone users and using this is simple enough. people will tell you that it's dangerous, because they can't finesse it. All sims are different per phone carrier, alternately you can just go in to your carrier and get you sim transferred into a different sim but this works just as good. From the sim you cut out, there are adapters you use so the punched out sim can fit into whatever phone you need. Basically this just makes sure that you can buy any unlocked phone without having to go to your phone carrier. I used it with my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime and it's just fine, just make sure the phone you purchase online is unlocked, otherwise there might not be a sim port (ie. Verizon locked Iphone 4)

This is a great tool that will save you money
I got an LG K7 phone as a gift and was surprised to find out my micro sim wouldnt fit. The metro pcs store wanted to charge me $35 for a "nano sim" and activation (?) of the new phone. I found this outrageous so I decided to explore some alternative solutions and thats how I stumbled upon this gadget. I punched out the card and with a nail file did some careful sanding to make it fit in the slot. After that, all I needed to do was go to the metro pcs website and give the IMEI of the new phone and Voila!! Activated at no additional cost. This is a great tool that will save you money, as long as you are careful making ths cut and are good with your hands. The fact that it includes the adapters is a big plus. It will definitely come in handy in case I need to switch back to a phone that requires a micro sim in the future.

No the greatest quality - but it did cut a nano sim
This unit is not real high quality. The cutting blank must be MANUALLY CENTERED and it is not easy to get it in the right position. I cut very close the the upper edge because I could not position the lower edge further down. The device did cut out the nano sim, but the resulting blank had to be worked on in order to remove rough edges and burrs. I'm guessing that other units in this price range will all have the same limitations. The good news is that I was able to cut a working nano sim without breaking the unit. So it is good to try one more cut. I would not invest in this if you are thinking of cutting a bunch of nano sims as I think 1) it is too hard to get the sim chip positioned properly and 2) I think that the device is likely to break due to its construction quality.

I believe that this company is now selling an updated model from what I have read in previous reviews. The cutter comes with a metal die the size of a regular SIM that a Micro SIM fits into. If you use the die, you cannot mess up the cut so long as you put the die in the cutter the correct way. I believe that this cutter will work for many cuts, however I only used it one time. I used some sand paper to clean op the edges of the cut SIM. I will say, that at first I thought that my SIM was ruined because my Nexus 6P was not receiving a signal. I looked into the network settings and saw that the provider was not selected. I simply selected the appropriate provider and restarted my phone.

Works great!
Just be careful and take your time. Look at the icon stamped in the metal so you know which way to insert your SIM, and once you've got it lined up make one firm squeeze. It worked perfectly for me. I probably could have cut the card with scissors, but I was going to order some SIM adapters anyway so this was a good deal for both things I needed. You will need a bit of sandpaper to complete the job (not included)- a few swipes on the edges to clean up any burrs, and a quick sanding of the back of the SIM to slim it down just a bit.

most people wont get frequent use out of something like this, but if you're upgrading from a phone that uses micro sims to one that uses nano sims, ordering this might be cheaper than getting a new sim from many north american providers ($25 just for a new sim with some companies!). For me I needed one to use with my foreign sims for travel as it is far easier to cut down my old ones than get new ones.

Check card fit before cutting or it'll crush/destroy sim.
Cutter wouldn't line up with my micro card, had to file SIM card to correct size. Checked card for in cutter but didn't line up close enough to use cutter. Adapters were only needed to check size but offered option to use in another phone.

Fosmon to make an exact nano SIM
Punch works nicely when the SIM card is centered in the die on the bottom of the cutter. Is this the second time your SIM needs to be resized? If so, the first cut might not be exact. My large SIM was cut in the phone store and it was longer than specified. If your SIM was cut to the wrong length, it will not fit into this SIM cutter. Use fine sandpaper to sand down your SIM card so it fits exactly into your SIM card cutter. It must be centered exactly. Then you can make your cut.

The cutter itself it Is Not to be used without knowing this
Very good value for the price. The cutter itself it Is Not to be used without knowing this tough: you have to gently peel off (sideways) one of the side of the sim card. This is because otherwise the cutter it will damage the sim card. You can see what I mean by watching a youtube video with Fosmon Nano Sim Card Cutter. After my normal/standard sim card was peeled off just enough, I managed to to transform it into a nano sim.And them I used the nano sim + micro sim adapter to fit the new S3 Galaxy.I can't know if my product is faulty or it is an entire batch like this.It doesen't matter it is still usable with the condition described above.Job done!

Do not use unless you are willing to purchase a new sim card if it ruins yours. Poor quality cutter.
Very cheap cutter made a mess out of sim card. Took a bunch of sanding and bending to get it to even recognise sim after being damaged by cutter. It cut 3 sides and basically broke the 4th leaving one side of sim card uneven and bent right over. I did eventually get the sim to work but am really disappointed with the quality of the cutter. It does not even appear to have sharp edge to do cutting. Just a square block that is forced through sim card, without a cutting edge it rips card instead of cutting it.
