Floor Gap Fixer

Q: Will this stick to all floating floors? I have a tongue and groove vinyl floating floor with one gap. If it doesn’t stick can I get a refund?

We have allure ultra flooring. It clicks together and is a floating floor. We found if I stood on the bar while my husband tapped the end of the bar with a rubber mallet it moved that piece of flooring together. We had to do it on each piece to the end as when we closed the gap on one end of the piece it opened it on the other. It didn’t take long to go to the end of the row. It looks like it did when we first put it in and it’s been 8 months. You’ll need to check with the company about refunds. I wouldn’t give up my fixer just in case I have other gaps in the future.

Q: My pergo max has foam backing insulation. will this tool work with it? or, will the foam backing prevent the planks from sliding?

I think it will work based on the theory that if when the flooring was installed, it was installed without gaps. So if the pergo max moved after some time and created a space, that movement wasn't prevented by the foam backing. So moving it back (in theory) should work.

Q: I have bamboo floors but some of my boards are cracked so the hod will not grab the boards. will this product grab the boards so i can shift them?

Our product design does not need a continuous surface like a suction cup. It will stick to a surface with cracks like your floor.

Q: Does this work on cork flooring?

I can't say for sure but I would think not. The bar has a thin layer of "tacky" rubber material that sticks to SMOOTH surfaces. I don't believe it would stick to a cork surface.
