Another DC comics animated movie. This is an adaptation of 'Hush,' a twelve issue Batman story from relatively early last decade. That served as a jumping on point and slight relaunch of the character.Parental advisory: this may be a Batman cartoon film, but it's also a fifteen certificate movie. As it's rather violent. Has adult moments. And a fair bit of mild language. So it's not for the kids.The story sees Bruce Wayne,after a bad injury, reconnect with an old friend who is a brilliant brain surgeon. He wants to be a better friend to him. And this desire for change also gets him closer to Selina Kyle than he's ever been before. But how far will he go with it? For at the same time, events involving his rogues all turn out to be connected. By a new villain called Hush. Who is playing the long game...Fanboy advisory: like the recent 'Reign of the Supermen' animation, this does a lot to cram a long comic story into a seventy nine minute movie, and whilst it does rush past some things, it does not follow the exact path of the comic in others. So you might get wound up. Or you might just go with it. Your choice.This is Batman of the animated movies first seen in 'Justice League: War' and many since. Voiced by Jason O'Mara. Who is pretty decent in the part. And it follow the same animation style as those do.And it's a pretty good watch. There is a point about a third of the way into this when it feels it all comes together. It's a plot where you can watch it again - if you didn't know the outcome from the off, or thought you did - and see things you didn't spot first time round. It does give a lot of the rogues their time in the spotlight. And it does some very good work with the Bruce Selina relationship. All that happens does feel natural character development, not something done for the needs of the plot.Never quite a five star release, this is still a pretty good watch. And well worth a look.The disc has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English, French, German.Subtitles: Arabic, Danish, Dutch, Finnsh, English, French, Norwegian, Swedish.The only extras are the usual previews of other dc animations, that mix clips and cast and crew talking about them.In this case, one for the long since released: Batman Bat Blood. Another for the also long out Assault on Arkham. And one for the impeding at the time of writing Wonder Woman: Bloodlines.

Ordered this product for someone else and they were happy with the packaging, the quality of the dvd and the delivery within the time stated.

Watch at the weekend really good to see other dc characters in the movie.It kept me guessing who was the hush. Can't wait to see the next one

As described delivery took a bit of time but that’s due to bad time not sellers fault

NOT for the comic fans. The change of Hush’s identity feels cheapened compared to the comic. Not a problem if you’ve not read the epic graphic novels but a shame if you have. Not a bad addition to WB Batmanverse but not what I expected/wanted.

Overall I liked this film. I was really looking forward to it and there are some awesome moments throughout. Nightwing always improves everything he’s in, and I loved watching Batman and Catwoman’s relationship develop. Having said that, there are some majors things they changed and left out from the comics. First and foremost, Hush’s identity: Hush is the Riddler in this film, not Thomas Elliott, which seems like a stupid thing to change seeing as how it’s a HUSH movie. Yes the Riddler masterminds the whole thing, but he himself is not Hush. Next, a lot of characters are either replaced with others or absent entirely - Killer Croc is replaced with Bane, Huntress is replaced with Batgirl, there’s no Clayface, no Amanda Waller and no Leslie Thompkins. Finally, they missed out loads of plot points from the comic - they never mention Elliott’s parents, his jade ring necklace, ‘Jason Todd’s’ appearance, and they never show us Bruce and Thomas growing up together as kids, which was pinnacle because it shows us how deeply their relationship runs and makes it all the more heartbreaking for Batman and for us when we find out that Thomas is Hush. However, the things they did keep for this film they did really well, and the cast is perfect. So yeah, great film, would and will watch again, but could have been soooo much more.

A good storyline from the Batman collection unexpected ending.

Awesome movie slightly weaken by unnecessary slight twist to an otherwise classic Batman story. Like Gotham By Gaslight, this is another good Selina/Catwoman or Bruce/Batman movie even perfectly capturing the iconic Kiss scene on the rooftop. Some hated the extra scenes but I loved them from Bane to Poison Ivy, to a little Superman and Lois Lane romance/action scene, and even a cameo from C lister villian The Riddler. It's refreshing seeing other Batman villains get a little shine besides the Joker and Harley Quinn in all every Batman movie live action or animated. Which is why even though the twist was okay. It would have been nice to have a true Hush stories since he is one of Batman's adversaries I am least familiar with.This movie also delves into the psychology of both Bruce and Selina's characters and how until Bruce lets go of Batman, he could never truly be happy. The saddest part of Bruce is he will sadly never let go of Batman because Batman is who he truly is and Bruce is only the mask he must wear in public to continue to be the masked crusader.I really enjoyed this movie with many favorite scenes. One of my favorites is Damien's small cameo reminding Bruce, who is on his way to a date with Selina, of his horrible choice in women including his mother. It was also cool to see Dick/Nightwing root for Selina and Bruce to get together.The ending is open ended but is also Bruce's reality unless he lets go of his alter ego and what could be if he did.BTW, this is another movie with a different Region code from the USA. So unless your DVD player can play All Regions, you will be upset with this purchase and unable to enjoy a great Batman movie unless you are a purist who like classic stories told unaltered.

I bought this for my son because he's a huge batman fan. When I gave it to him, he was so happy, especially when he couldn't find it anywhere. He couldn't throw it into the dvd player fast enough! Thanks so much!

A great story about Bruce's childhood friend that figured out Bruce is Batman and wants revenge. He's an incredible brain surgeon with lots of smarts that uses bad guys and heroes against Batman. Causes Batman and Catwoman become lovers. Batman even tells her who he really is and takes her to the Batcave. Afred, Robin, Nightwing all approve and like Batman's new attitude because of her. However things don't stay great because she doesn't share his moral code.
