Cat Citrus Spray
I have a kitten that was chewing on plants and electrical cords, yes, not good! This stuff work since it is a very strong citrus scent that cats do not like. The cat still goes up to what I sprayed and turns around. It stays where you apply it for a long time.

So Far So Good but Very Strong Scent
I haven't gotten to test this spray as thoroughly as I'd like. I have two 14 year old cats that know house rules, and I don't have to worry about them causing any mischief. I did, however, get this because I adopted two strays less than 2 years old. To say they are a bit wild is an understatement, especially the 6 month old. We are going through a rough chewing phase. I didn't know that this could be used as a chewing deterrent, and suffice it to say, it works well for a couple of days. Sprayed on a piece of foam board I use to get in and out of the bedroom they are kept in till they are integrated with my residents, and the 6 month old stopped chewing on the side I sprayed.I sprayed it on a part of my stairs and a spot where he and his mom seemingly like to stretch their paws up and scratch, so we will see how that goes. If I find that it doesn't work as well as a scratch deterrent, I will update this review.Strong scents do not usually bother me, but word of warning to those that are smell sensitive: this is STRONG. Combination of citrus and citronella smelling. I don't like how it is strong enough to want to keep a pet out of an indoor area, but it needs to be strong enough to discourage scratching. Because of how strong the smell is, I am not a fan of the directions saying it needs to be sprayed once a day to be effective. If you have company coming over, it will easily be detected. I held the bottle up opened to my resident boy who immediately backed away with that cringe face, so cats at least will notice the smell. I have a skunk that took up residence under my bedroom and I will try to spray this on the entry point hopefully to encourage him to move on. It's strong enough to easily be used outdoors which is maybe the best location of use for it.

Doesn't work for stubborn cats
Didn't work at all. Trying to keep my cats off the stair wall and after I sprayed it, my hard headed cat immediately jumped up there to smell. Apparently he enjoys the smell of citronella......

Works Good, Halted Most of My Cats Bad Scratching Behavior
I have two cats, and both are large twenty-pound boys with very big paws and sharp claws. For some reason, both of them decided that the corner of the last stair on my staircase was a great place to sharpen and shape their claws. My normal calls to stop or distract with toys or treats were not working, and they usually would do it in the middle of the night. I figured I would give this a try, as I had never used one of these products, but they had been recommended to me.I have to say, I am really impressed with how quickly and how well it has worked. It isn't perfect, but it has stopped about eighty percent of their clawing at my staircase. It was super easy to use and comes in a nice pump bottle. Before I went to sleep, I sprayed the last couple of stair steps, and they did not scratch it that night. I noticed I can now go a couple of days before spraying it again, but if I wait too long, some nights they will scratch at the area again. I'm hoping this will change behavior over a period of time, and they will lose interest in that spot. I purchased a scratching post, but of course, they tend to ignore it.I didn't want anything that could hurt them or make them sick, so this was a great choice as it is made of natural oils and doesn't have any harmful chemicals or ingredients in it. It has a citrus-like smell, and I try to use it sparingly as it is pretty strong, but it gets the job done. Overall, I am really happy with it; for the price point, it's a great value considering it saved me from having to repair my staircase. My cats act just like they always have, and they don't seem to behave any differently, they just don't claw apart my stairs now. Great pet product, five stars.

Strong smell of citrus and citronella and not sure if it works
We got a kitten a few months ago and he likes to jump on kitchen counters and on the robot vacuum cleaner, including chewing on it's cord. The spray was easy to use but I'm not sure if it's working, as I sprayed toward the kitten and he didn't seem to care. Also, this needs to be reapplied every 24 hours so hard to say when it wore off and if it worked, as I still need kitten prints on the kitchen counter.

Works for our cats
Works really well. Bought this spray to keep our cats away from couches and certain areas of the carpet, and they have avoided them since I began spraying the house with this spray. It has a nice essential oil smell, with hints of citrus and mint. The cats hate it and I actually find it quite refreshing. It does have to be sprayed often, as the aroma wears off within a couple days.

Exactly as described in the listing, no sticky residue and seems to deter my cat from scratching
The cat scratch/chew spray arrived very fast and was packaged well during shipping. Upon opening there was no damage found, nor was there any leakage in the box from the bottle. I have 2 fairly wild cats that tend to be destructive to the point I am questioning whether they need to be inside/outside cats and maybe they would be happier. I purchased this spray and hoping for positive results so that I may keep my babies inside. After spraying on various places in the house that tend to get scratched, like my couch, the side of my mattress and my foot stool. The spray seems to be helping deter their desire to scratch those areas but does need to be reapplied as the smell wears off. I cannot smell the spray, but I am assuming they can as they sniff the area and walk away from it. I am pleased so far and hope the longevity of this training method lasts. I have also sprayed around the wooden legs of my table where they like to chew and it seems they do not like the flavor either, which is another plus. The listing says it is non-toxic and can be used on plants, but I have not tried that yet. Overall, the spray is very easy to use, exactly as described and is working to this point. I do not notice any residue or sticky areas after spraying either which is nice as well.
