Excellent Organic Boost for Plants
I’ve been using the Alaska Fish Fertilizer (5-1-1) for a couple of months now, and it’s become a staple in my gardening routine. If you're looking for an organic, OMRI-listed fertilizer that gives noticeable results without synthetic chemicals, this is an excellent choice.I use it primarily on vegetables, herbs, and a few fruiting plants like tomatoes and peppers. After the first few applications, I noticed stronger stems, more vibrant leaf color, and faster overall growth. My tomato plants, in particular, responded extremely well—they went from a slow crawl to producing blossoms within a week or two of feeding. It’s also done wonders for basil, cucumbers, and even some of my flower beds.Application is straightforward—just mix with water according to the instructions. The only caveat, as others have mentioned, is the fishy odor. It’s not overpowering if you dilute it properly and apply it during cooler parts of the day, but don’t expect it to smell like roses. Fortunately, the smell dissipates quickly and hasn’t attracted pests or caused any lingering issues in my garden. The 115 oz bottle is a good value for the size—especially if you have a larger garden or plan to fertilize multiple times during the growing season. I like that it’s safe to use around pets and kids once it’s watered in.Overall, this is a high-performing, trustworthy product that delivers what it promises. Just hold your nose and enjoy the results!

Love this stuff; the plants do too
I was already very familiar with this product before purchasing from Amazon -- used to buy at "brick and mortars" purely from habit. But because the bottle is heavy and somewhat bulky to lug home, the convenience of Amazon delivering right to one's doorstep cannot be denied. My delivery arrived speedily with nary a leak or spill.Unscrew the safety cap (press down as you turn) and you will find a magic brown elixir within -- more viscous than molasses because it pours "slower than molasses." As the mixture plops and slurps its way out of the bottle, the deep, rich fragrance of ocean fish rises up, filling the nostrils in a pleasant way. I suppose you could say it's stinky, but this is a clean smell, quite bracing to the senses, not in any way fermented, rotted, spoiled, or stomach-churning. If you have ever spent time at the ocean or in a fishmonger's shop, you know what I mean. It's dimensional: very much a fragrance rather than a smell. All plants love a good fish dinner. As far as they're concerned, the dinner they get from this bottle is prime. They quickly let you know it's good chow and they'd appreciate more if you have it. The more they get, the happier they are. The product is safe, gentle, all natural, non-burning. I never measure. I simply put a goodly amount in my watering can, maybe enough to cover the bottom, whatever feels right. Then I dump in other nutrients, both liquid and powdered, depending on "who" I'm feeding, and we're good to go. Because I live in the desert, I water deeply both before and after feeding with my hose to ensure maximum absorption through the roots. This is a wonderful product. It is full strength, not watered down. Highly recommend.

My plants love it!
I have been using this every two weeks for awhile and my plants love it! I use it for house plants, potted and in-ground outdoor plants. I notice the difference in blooming and overall health. Only drawback is the odor. It's not so obvious outside, but definitely an issue indoors.

This product is NOT 100% Organic. If your garden is pass on this product.
I have used this product, and it does work great. It went out of stock so I started looking around. I questioned what 'Organic Based' was? I was concerned, why does this product clarify, and not say 100% organic. As I try to be 100% organic, so I looked into it.This is the definition I found; The term “Organic-based ” means the product contains a minimum of 15% of organic material/matter. The other part of the ingredients of the fertilizer are non-organic, mostly synthetized. So if 100% organic means something to you (as it does to me), I would look elsewhere (as I have).I have no complaints about delivery, price, packaging, and it does work, just not organic. It does bother me that they are deceptive, as many of the reviews think this is an organic product. They do not list ingredients, but they do warn about local regulations on phosphorus run off. Which there are in South Florida.

Stinky But worth it
I almost got completely skunked on my tomato pepper and corn crop last year.Consequently I decided to educate myself by watching a ton of gardening YouTube videos.Almost every video talked about how this fish emulsion helps keep your plant starts amazingly healthy.I used it on my young tomato plants and peppers all through the grow as well as my corn starts. This stinky stuff kept my tomatoes and peppers so vibrant and green with many blooms and my corn took off like a rocket. This was a huge change from last year and I was genuinely surprised.I watered with it and sprayed it on the leaves to absorb the nutrients. It will not burn your plants.I recommend disposable gloves to handle this stuff because it's hard to get the smell off your hands.I wouldn't use it indoors either because it will make your house reek.I will use this product again because it keeps young plants healthy so they can make it to maturity.Wonderful Stinky Stuff.
