Q: How do you program this key. I see the one review that this key would not program

I was able to use the shell of the fob. I had to take my already broken original fobs and key blades, shave the blades to size, then open the original fob, take out the panel and install it into the new fobs. It takes some time and skill to do but takes about an hour to do for each key.

Because VW has it where they can only provide the correct computerized key. A locksmith will tell you this, Sorry it is a bummer! I sent my fob back,

No it has to be gotten at the car dealer ….Mine would cost $350 to get another programmed key
