OK
A good read spoiled by the author's snidey, snobbish comments about Curt Sampson who penned a much more enjoyable read named "The Masters." Owen is obviously sufficiently irked by Sampson's efforts to feel the need to "disprove," in what become increasingly boring footnotes, the few minor points he has been able to find that are at odds with his research. Get a life, Mr.Owen! Apart from that gripe, the book is a sycophantic tribute to the life and times of Clifford Roberts - and very few others - more or less overlooking the massive contribution of the only true golfer involved, namely R.T.Jones, Jnr. I would bet that Mr.Owen is now either a Member of Augusta National or has been given free tickets for life!
