Overall a great selection with an amazing second disc
This is a comprehensive collection, that covers the whole of S and G's career, including much of Bookends and all but one track of Bridge Over Troubled Water. Most of these tracks are on CD2, together with the live For Emily Whenever I May Find Her (my favourite S and G performance both vocally staggering and with sublime guitar). For me, this CD has one of the best sets of songs you can buy, showcasing amazing nuanced vocals and musical performances: some of the arrangements are breathtaking.CD 1 has some great songs e.g. The Sound Of Silence, I am a Rock but it also highlights a few less spectacular songs - by their standards, some of which are live and again, for me slightly let down the overall package. It is obviously my personal view and if anything, goes to show how great the best (and largely better known) songs are. And you can easily select what tracks you want.Great sounding CDs - and a knockout second disc.

this double CD collection contains about 60% of their catalogue, including all the most memorable ones.

Every home should have one.
Possessing any recording by Simon and Garfunkel is a no brainer, and with regard to a collection, it's simply a matter of choice.This particular issue mixes studio and live recordings, the latter merely endorsing the duo's talent and artistic brilliance. My only criticism of this double cd edition, is the rather crass jewel case, whereby the two discs sit one upon the other, as opposed to being Individually held in a hinged tray. One last observation, as I sit composing this review, listening to the musicality of this folk duo, chasing the memorable sounds of the 60s and 70s, mellowed by a pint of Broadside, I have to ask; whatever happened to the music?

Timeless classics.
I must say that I was very impressed at the quality of this CD. The sound quality is exceptional and there are so many well known and well loved tracks. Well worth the purchase price. Delivery was awesomely quick too.
